We Do Social Work is recruiting experienced Locum Educational Psychologists to support a Local Authority in Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people aged 0 25 by delivering high-quality statutory psychological advice and evidence-based recommendations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing statutory psychological assessments for children and young people with SEND.
  • Producing high-quality, outcome-focused psychological advice to support Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments.
  • Working collaboratively with parents, carers, schools and multi-agency professionals.
  • Applying evidence-informed psychological practice to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Providing child-centred recommendations that support positive educational and developmental outcomes.
  • Managing your own caseload while maintaining high professional standards.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A UK-recognised postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology.
  • HCPC registration.
  • A minimum of two years' experience working within a Local Authority.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical and organisational skills.
  • The ability to complete at least one in-person assessment each month.
  • An enhanced DBS and up-to-date GDPR training.
  • The right to work in the UK.
