<p><strong>Rethink Mental Illness are hiring Mental Health Recovery Workers to join our&nbsp;inspiring and friendly team&nbsp;at our Sheffield Outreach Service.</strong></p><p><strong>Imagine being part of an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness. We currently support over 65 individuals living in their homes in the community to work towards recovery, by engaging them in 1:1 support with a mental health recovery worker. Support is tailored to the individual and working towards meeting goals on their individual support plan, which outlined which areas of social care needs they require support with.&nbsp;The service generally operates Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm however flexibility in this role will be required to meet the needs of the service users. This service offers 24-hour support, so there are always trained staff on hand to support residents and deal with any problems that might arise. At The Mead we believe that anyone who suffers from mental illness has the opportunity to live life to the full. Each resident has a ‘key worker’ who takes a special interest in their wellbeing, supporting them in what they wish to achieve while living at the home.</p><p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p><p>As a Mental Health Support/Recovery&nbsp;Worker, you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. <p>Working with people who have complex offending backgrounds and substance use needs within prison is both challenging and rewarding. This is a fantastic chance to make a positive difference to the lives of people who are often disadvantaged and vulnerable.</p>
<p>This job is open to qualified professionals, or members of the public preferably with experience and understandingof working within Drug and Alcohol Recovery.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, in a custodial environment delivering a high standard drug and alcohol recovery service in response to the needs of the service users as part of Inclusion and Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation trust.</p>
<p>You will provide a range of psycho-social interventions motivating and supporting service users to achieve recovery and positive outcomes within a recovery-orientated substance misuse treatment service</p>
<p>You will work in collaboration with clinical prescribing services to ensure the needs of each service user is met and that integrated working is a key element to Inclusion's prison services.</p>
<p>You will provide a drug and alcohol recovery service (incorporating assessment, recovery planning, casework coordination and psycho-social interventions) to problem drug and alcohol users located within the prison establishment</p>
<p>You will contribute and work within the prison and wider drug strategy</p>
