  <p>The Activity Co-ordinator role is integral to the running of the ward group programme at Park Royal, from delivering Plan your Day meetings and daily wellbeing activities first thing in the mornings to cooking evening meals with service users. <p>If so, there is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Activity coordinator to work alongside the Occupational Therapists, Fitness instructors, Psychologists, Peer Support worker and Nursing team on the wards.</p>
<p>We are looking for a person who can engage patients in activities such as gardening, art, music, cooking, and support them on their recovery journey.</p>
<p>The aim of the role is to provide interventions, using recovery principles, in order to improve the service users' quality of life and to support them to do the things they want to do and live the life they want to lead.</p>
<p>The post holder will receive regular supervision by an Occupational Therapist and opportunities for training through CNWL Learning and Development and the Recovery and Wellbeing College. We also have an OT apprentice post within the team which has so far had three of our Activity Coordinators move into, providing excellent progression into a qualified post for those who are interested.</p>
<p>We have four Activity Coordinators working across four acute mental health wards and one PICU. The role includes facilitating a programme of social, creative and skills-based activities to both individuals and groups which promotes social inclusion for service users. Activities take place on the wards and in the local community.</p>

<p>Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Volunteer Counsellor to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.</p>
<p>Counselling is delivered by experienced qualified contracted counsellors, and our team is supported by qualified volunteer counsellors who wish to give back to the community, require a stepping stone to a paid counselling role or are independently working toward increasing their client contact hours or are working toward their accreditation.</p>
<p>To meet the standard criteria you will:</p>

<li>Ba a graduate or at post graduate level in counselling or have completed a level 4 Diploma or equivalent in Therapeutic Counselling</li>
<li>Be a Registered Member or an Accredited Member of the BACP membership or equivalent with a professional standards authority (e.g. UKCP, HPC)</li>
<li>Have two years minimum duration of personal counselling or psychotherapy.</li>

As a student placement provider, CDI makes for an ideal 2nd placement that will ensure you have adequate young people contact hours, largely under 18 years of age, providing you with the learning experiences you need to meet the competency requirements of your training course and provider. It is important to check with your training provider, the cap on the number of under 18 years of age clients permitted for your course.</p>
