KG School Counselor - Immediate Start

<p>Our <strong>Linked Minds Befriending Project</strong> supports people in the London boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow who are socially isolated due to a diagnosed mental health problem</p><p>On successful completion of the training, including mental health training, the Volunteer Befriender is matched with someone suitable, by a Co-ordinator who then acts as a (non-clinical) supervisor for the befriending period, which is limited to a year.</p><p>Befriender, client and supervisor make a plan together with a goal to work towards, and the Befriender makes a weekly 1-2 hour visit to the client’s home, where they might stay in and chat over a cup of tea, go out for a walk together, visit a café or undertake a local activity.&nbsp;</p><p>These visits make such a difference for the client, increasing their confidence and helping them explore and work towards getting a job, joining a club, meeting other people or whatever their goal may be.</p><p>The aim is that, by the end of the year, clients feel better about themselves, more valued, resilient, empowered, more linked to their community and better equipped for their journeys in recovery.</p><p>But volunteering with BEfriend not only enriches the lives of those who are isolated, it also offers immense personal rewards.</p><p>As a Befriender, you’ll get to know inspirational people with fascinating stories, develop new skills and be part of a supportive team that values compassion and connection.</p>

<p>We are looking for a full time Associate Specialist doctor (non-consultant grade) to work in our Medium (MSU) and Low secure (LSU) Forensic Mental Health Services.</p>
<p>Farmfield Hospital is a purpose-built secure hospital which comprises of four MSU ward and two LSU wards for male service users. The hospital is centrally located with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.</p>
<p>Applications are invited for an experienced full-time Associate Specialist doctor to provide medical support to the consultant, and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Secretarial support is provided.&nbsp;</p>

  <p>37.5 hours per week (9 months fixed term)</p>  <p>Are you looking to be part of a forward thinking, award-winning MSK team?</p>  <p>Then this position with Ashford &amp; St Peter's will be for you!</p>  <p>You will be part of a pioneering service that has recently expanded their clinics into 3 state-of-the-art gyms at River Bourne, Woking Leisure Centre and Egham Orbit. Our ethos is to bring rehabilitation into the community and to promote holistic patient care through exercise and education for long term self-management, with potential working from home opportunities for virtual clinics. </p>  <p>We are offering a static position at Woking Community Hospital and Ashford Hospital (based on service needs) with opportunity to work from both our gym and hospital bases. You will have the opportunity to manage a varied caseload compromising of ACP, GP, Orthopaedic and FCP referrals through our streamlined triage processes.</p>  <p>You will be supported with weekly supervision, in-service training and access to joint sessions with B7 and ACPs, plus benefiting from the Trust's wellbeing initiatives.</p>  <p>Despite the team being spread across different sites we regularly organise external events, so you can get to know the socially vibrant team!</p>  <p>We welcome applications from existing band 5 Physiotherapists looking to take a step up in their career or Band 6 applicants looking for a new challenge, to join our friendly team of MSK therapists.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To communicate any changes in care plan or treatment approach to other physiotherapists or MDT colleagues. To use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes.</p> <p>To be able to communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers and other staff relating to their rehabilitation potential and gaining consent for treatment. To maintain accurate records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust and service standards and policies.</p> <p>To be able to manage potentially stressful, upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner.</p> <p>To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients using analytical skills, seeking guidance from senior staff as needed. Devise individualised physiotherapy management and / or treatment plans, using clinical reasoning skills, evaluating the outcomes of your interventions. Then use a range of treatment/ management options in formulating programmes of care.</p> <p>To be responsible for and actively record your own personal development.</p> <p>To supervise Band 5 physiotherapist and physiotherapy assistants and to participate in the appraisal scheme as an appraisee.</p> <p>To monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others. To be competent with lone working when appropriate with patients remotely and have awareness of when clinical support is required.</p>
