  <p>We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our dynamic Diabetes Psychology Team (30 hours per week).</p> <p>If you are an enthusiastic and motivated clinician with experience in working with people with diabetes or Long-Term Conditions (LTC), and you are passionate about delivering evidence-based psychological interventions and service development, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a multidisciplinary team and be involved in a key service development project. Regular supervision will be provided.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for delivering a specialist psychology service to patients living with Type 2 diabetes in Well Street Common PCN and Hackney Marshes PCN.</p> <p>Your work within the Diabetes Psychology team will be central to improving patient engagement, self-management, and overall outcomes, with a specific focus on addressing health inequalities. This includes identifying and working with patients who struggle to attend appointments, as well as providing one-to-one and group-based support for individuals struggling with diabetes related distress.   <p>We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate your commitment to providing high quality care and counselling for depression at Step 3. You will be delivering counselling for depression using a stepped care model in line with the national IAPT programme and latest NICE guidance for psychological interventions. The role involves delivering one to one Counselling, Assessments and therapeutic groups.</p>
<p>You must demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development and be prepared to attend training in the Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CFD) IAPT training at Metanoia with a desirable commitment to Mind Matters of 1.5 years post training completion/award of qualification (not just attending the course).</p>
<p>Developmental Plan:</p>

<p>Be able to make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.   <p>We are proud to be developing new roles for Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners to join our experienced workforce in Hertfordshire.</p>
<p>The post holder will have a desire to develop their skills in working with adults with severe and enduring mental illness, some of whom will have not had previous access to psychologically informed interventions.</p>
<p>The post-holder will work collaboratively with service users, their families, carers, and multi-disciplinary team members to provide assessment, care planning and coordination of care, supporting collaborative decision-making about care and treatment.</p>
<p>The post holder will support the delivery of a set of wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions, aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles, based on the best evidence available, that address problems often experienced by people with severe mental health problems under the supervision of a clinical/counselling psychologist or CBT therapist, where this is identified in personalised care planning and support.</p>
