  <p>We are inviting applications for a psychological therapist from a core professional background (e.g. CAP's, Psychiatric nurses, Social workers, OT's) to join our Personality Disorder Pathway in the South West of Hertfordshire. The post-holder will be based in Watford and Borehamwood.</p>
<p>Working closely with the local DBT leads, this post offers an exciting opportunity to join an established group of therapists who provide a local DBT service, as well as joining the wider network of therapists, locally and across the trust.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This is an exciting opportunity to work within a newly commissioned pan-London Men's Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) service to reduce custodial sentences and improve the wellbeing of men in the criminal justice system with mental health needs. Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHTRs) were introduced by the Criminal Justice Act in 2003, recognising that for many individuals who offend, mental health and substance misuse issues underpin their offending behaviour. Treatment requirements offer courts an alternative to short custodial sentences and aim to prevent reoffending by addressing underlying vulnerabilities and improving quality of life. This service aims to increase the use of primary care treatment requirements as part of a community sentence, offering psychologically informed interventions and advice. The MHTR Service will also provide the courts with information and confidence to sentence to robust and effective treatment requirements.</p>
<p>North London Forensic Collaborative is the largest forensic Provider Collaborative in England and is a partnership between forensic services within five NHS Trusts including: North London NHS Foundation Trust - Lead Provider; Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust; East London NHS Foundation Trust; North East London NHS Foundation Trust and West London NHS Trust.</p>

  <p>North London Forensic Collaborative are looking for three band 7 Psychologists or Psychological Therapists. The two CNWL posts will cover North West and North central London and NELFT's post will cover North East London. Oxleas are also recruiting 2 posts to work in South London. These posts will be responsible for assessing for suitability and making recommendations for MHTRs across and for delivering short-term psychological interventions for those that are sentenced to an MHTR.   <p>We are pleased to be recruiting to a trauma specialist 8a psychological therapist post (0.8 wte) to work within our multi-modality therapy team in secondary care for adults with moderate-severe mood, anxiety and personality disorders. The post holder will be an experienced clinician for service users with PTSD and complex PTSD offering trauma-focussed CBT (may additionally be experienced in EMDR), also with significant experience using CBT for adults with moderate to severe mood and anxiety disorders. The post holder will have experience of line managing and supervising junior psychologists trainees, as well as offering consultation and link-working with colleagues.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate experience and skill in working with PTSD and cPTSD with adults in secondary care with moderate-severe presentations, using trauma-focussed CBT, as well as other mood and anxiety disorders. The role requires supervision and line management of more junior psychologists and trainees. The post holder will contribute to service audits and development projects, and consultation within the team and to other professionals.</p>

  <p>1. The successful applicant will work alongside other Clinical/Counselling Psychologists delivering assessment and therapy, with some of the staff also employed in specialist trauma posts. They will also work alongside psychotherapists offering Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy as part of this well-established multi-modality team. There are line management and supervisory responsibilities, as well as link-working with CMHTs to provide consultation, teaching, co-working. The team is based in central Croydon (Jeanette Wallace House) and face-to-face sessions are provided at this base and at other Croydon sites. Wednesdays are an essential team day.Development opportunities: The Trust provides access to a wide range of CPD opportunities and all staff are encouraged to undertake development opportunities and activities relevant to their post.
