			<p>Join Emerald Place Clinic as a Consultant Child and Young People Psychiatrist and deliver, treat and empower young people to live a safe and independent life. </p>
<p>You will join our multidisciplinary team in a 12-bed General Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The unit provides care for young people aged 13 –18 experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring inpatient treatment. You will play a key role in clinical leadership, risk management, and therapeutic planning, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care.</p>
<p>As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support the children and young people, and their families, as they progress through their care plans to understand eating behaviours and restore physical health.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will work alongside the talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. This will allow you to understand symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Team Structure</strong></p>

<p><strong>As the </strong><strong>Consultant Child and Young People Psychiatrist</strong>, <strong>your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Clinical Duties</strong></p>

    <li>Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of young people admitted to the unit.</li>
    <li>Lead on formulation and treatment planning in collaboration with the MDT.</li>
    <li>Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication in line with NICE guidelines.</li>
    <li>Conduct regular ward rounds, CPA reviews, and Mental Health Act assessments.</li>
    <li>Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies including Case managers, community CYPMHS, social care, and education providers.</li>
    <li>Provide clinical leadership in managing complex cases and safeguarding concerns.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Leadership &amp; Governance</strong></p>

    <li>Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.</li>
    <li>Participate in clinical governance, audit, and peer review activities.</li>

To achieve this we need high quality support, guidance, and clinical supervision for our growing team of exceptional counsellors, and to ensure that all safeguarding cases which arise are responded to effectively for the safety of the clients we work with.</p><p>You will be joining a small, robust, ethically and clinically led Clinical Team overseeing the clinical governance, clinical quality and safeguarding of counselling and therapy work delivered at Spill. They then provide free online, one-to-one coaching to global clients who otherwise lack access to mental health care, initially promoting behaviour change (e.g., diet, sleep, reducing procrastination) and later progressing to clients experiencing depression or anxiety.</p><h3><strong>About Overcome</strong></h3><p>Overcome is a UK-registered charity (Charity Number: 1191308) providing online mental health coaching worldwide, particularly to underserved communities in developing countries.
