The Psychological Therapist role is a highly valued and integral part of Avon and Somerset Police s Occupational Health Department, working together to deliver a first-class service to our police colleagues. This is a part time position working 14.8 hours per week on a fixed 12 month contract. You will need an interest in and experience of delivering trauma support together with experience of working effectively with other complex mental health presentations. You will hold BACP, BABCP or UKCP accreditation with the relevant qualifications and experience in CBT and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Trainee Health and Wellbeing practitioner- HMP Send Location: Surrey Salary: £22,932 per annum + Benefits Vacancy Type: Contract, Full Time We are recruiting for a Trainee Health and Wellbeing practitioner at HMP Send The Forward Trust provide both clinical and psychosocial Substance Misuse Services across Surrey Prisons in partnership with NHS Trust healthcare providers. Each service operates a Health and Wellbeing framework taking a trauma informed and gender responsive approach to delivery of a wide variety of interventions and integrated pathways tailored to meet specific needs of each prison and individual service users. With pro-active partnership working a key aspect in the delivery of these services multi-disciplinary working across mental health, healthcare services and the prison is essential. Role Responsibilities As a Forward trust trainee, you will be employed on a fixed 12-month contract. The aim of the traineeship is to provide training and development that facilitates onward employment. Forward Trust aims where possible to recruit and maximise those with lived experience into these roles. During the traineeship you will be supported and given the opportunity to develop the skills and experience to apply for and move in to permanent jobs at the end of the 12-month Traineeship. All Trainees will be enrolled on an accredited training programme funded by The Forward Trust and will be invited to join the Forward Connect community. During the traineeship you will be assigned to a specific service unit anywhere within the business, such as: Prison Drug &amp; Alcohol Services, Community Drug &amp; Alcohol Services, Family Support, Recovery Resettlement, Housing Resettlement, Business Development and/or Central Services. As part of the traineeship, you will be shadowing a member of the team and will be given guidance and support working through the various aspects of the role in the business unit you have been assigned to. The team member you will be shadowing will help ensure you are receiving the training and development needed to become competent in the role. You will receive regular reviews to ensure that you stay on track to successfully complete the traineeship and undertake the compulsory therapy as part of the traineeship. Part of your time on the traineeship will be spent working, gaining the practical experience and part studying towards achieving the qualification that has been assigned (subject to criteria). The service operates 7 days a week therefore weekend working will be a requirement on a rota basis. All prison-based roles will require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting. CBT High Intensity Therapist Location: Chelmsford Salary: £43,742 per annum, plus benefits Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time We are recruiting for a High Intensity/ CBT Therapist at HMP Chelmsford Here at Forward Trust, we deliver a complex range of drug and alcohol services in the unique prison environment. Our support includes providing advice, health and wellbeing, motivational work, clinical services, and a wider range of group work and treatment programmes. The Forward Trust services which are delivered within prison settings are commissioned by NHS England and are delivered in partnership with primary healthcare providers and HMPPS. Integration and partnership are integral to the work we do. We believe that everyone can live a fulfilling life, whatever their past. Our work in prisons aims to support those affected by drug or alcohol issues to create lasting change and reduce dependency, homelessness, unemployment and re-offending. Role Responsibilities As a CBT therapist you will work with adults on an individual face-to-face basis or through facilitating therapeutic groups and work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages and should be committed to equal opportunities. Key part of this role is to assess a service user's suitability for, and to deliver a range of Step 3 evidence based interventions in line with NICE Guidelines. The post holder will provide line management to the senior PWP. There will be Case management and Clinical skills responsibilities. There will also be additional management and leadership duties working in conjunction with the Senior PWP. i.e. report writing and attendance at internal and external MDT meetings. The post holder will have a team work approach and be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the organisation and will be required to work between locations as agreed.
