  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.</strong></p> <p>This role sits alongside other practitioner psychologists, psychological therapists, assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs) and Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners (MHWPs) embedded in an experienced, compassionate, trauma informed and person-centred multidisciplinary team which welcomes psychological interventions and collaborative working. </p> <p>The role is a varied one providing assessment (including neurodevelopmental), formulation, individual and group interventions, and consultation using a range of therapeutic approaches. </p> <p>You will also support psychological practice within the team by contributing a psychological perspective to team working, treatment planning and supervising other psychological professionals. </p> <p>There is a key focus on quality to enhance services.   <p><strong>Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist seeking a new challenge?</strong></p> <p>A <strong>part-time </strong>opportunity has arisen for a<strong> Clinical or Counselling Psychologist</strong> to join the <strong>Bucks Early Intervention Service</strong> in a developmental role. We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful person who is able to work within a multi-disciplinary team both independently and with initiative. We are looking for a person who has the ability to provide specialist cognitive-behavioural therapy for psychosis and the ability to use their skills to support and motivate colleagues and clients.</p> <p>You will have experience of working alongside a range of other professionals to provide psychological advice and consultation regarding formulation and treatment.</p> <p>We welcome applications from newly or soon-to-be qualified clinical or counselling psychologists. Please note this role is <strong>part-time working 22.5 hours per week.</strong></p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role is crucial in ensuring that patients get timely access to high quality specialist psychological treatments within the Bucks Early Intervention Service. As part of the role, you will:</p> <ul>  <li>Provide psychological assessment and intervention for adults with severe and/or complex mental health difficulties presenting in the Early Intervention Service and their families in outpatient, community and inpatient settings as required. This may include the use of digital technology.</li>  <li>Supervise and support the psychological assessment and interventions provided by assistant and trainee psychologists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment, dependent on experience.</li>  <li>Provide ad hoc advice, consultation and supervision on clients' psychological care to colleagues and other professionals as delegated by the Principal Clinical Psychologist.</li>  <li>Work towards the standards, duties and responsibilities expected of a band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, which, if achieved in line with developmental reviews, will lead to an opportunity for promotion to band 8a.</li> </ul> <p>You will excel at working autonomously, managing a caseload and taking responsibility for the governance of your psychological practice within a multidisciplinary team.     <p>For more information on the Job Description and Responsibilities please click the link below.</p><p><strong>More detail about the role</strong></p><p>The post holder will be part of the children and young peoples therapy service based at the Devon and Cornwall sexual assault referral centre (SARC) delivering evidence-based trauma therapy to young people aged 8-17, who are referred to SARC following sexual abuse or assault.</p><p>Professionally they will work in a non-judgemental and empathetic service and within the ethical framework of their professional / registering body (e.g. HPCP; BACP; UKCP, BABCP)</p><p>The purpose of this post is to add to the provision of evidence-based therapies for children and young people who have been sexually abused and/or assaulted, either recently or historically.</p><p>The post holder will have extensive clinical knowledge of highly complex psychotherapy and sexual trauma counselling and have significant input into the delivery of specialist counselling services delivered to children and young people.</p><p>This requires the ability to assess for post-traumatic stress disorder and discuss the implications of this and the NICE guidelines recommended treatment for PTSD (including following sexual trauma) with children, young people and their parents/ carers.</p><p>The post holder will able to implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people, including trauma-focused CBT, supported by the service lead.</p><p>The post holder will carry a clinical caseload and provide psychological therapies / counselling to meet client needs, taking into account the resources available within the service.</p><p>Where necessary, the post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to be creative, innovative and adaptable in the delivery of evidence-based therapies in order to best meet the individual need of the young person, whilst maintaining fidelity to the therapeutic model.</p><p>Some experience in delivering therapy to neuro-diverse children and young people and their parents/carers is also desirable.</p><p>The post holder will need experience in providing time-limited therapy for clients with a wide range of difficulties e.g. trauma and relationship issues.</p><p>The post holder will prioritise, assess, plan evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of highly complex care to an agreed and expected professional standard and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team.</p><p>The post holder will receive regular professional management and clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy and professional practice guidelines as set out by their professional body.       <p>For more information on the Job Description and Responsibilities please click the link below.</p><p><strong>More detail about the role</strong></p><p>The post holder will be part of the children and young peoples therapy service based at the Devon and Cornwall sexual assault referral centre (SARC) delivering evidence-based trauma therapy to young people aged 8-17, who are referred to SARC following sexual abuse or assault.</p><p>Professionally they will work in a non-judgemental and empathetic service and within the ethical framework of their professional / registering body (e.g. HPCP; BACP; UKCP, BABCP)</p><p>The purpose of this post is to add to the provision of evidence-based therapies for children and young people who have been sexually abused and/or assaulted, either recently or historically.</p><p>The post holder will have extensive clinical knowledge of highly complex psychotherapy and sexual trauma counselling and have significant input into the delivery of specialist counselling services delivered to children and young people.</p><p>This requires the ability to assess for post-traumatic stress disorder and discuss the implications of this and the NICE guidelines recommended treatment for PTSD (including following sexual trauma) with children, young people and their parents/ carers.</p><p>The post holder will able to implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people, including trauma-focused CBT, supported by the service lead.</p><p>The post holder will carry a clinical caseload and provide psychological therapies / counselling to meet client needs, taking into account the resources available within the service.</p><p>Where necessary, the post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to be creative, innovative and adaptable in the delivery of evidence-based therapies in order to best meet the individual need of the young person, whilst maintaining fidelity to the therapeutic model.</p><p>Some experience in delivering therapy to neuro-diverse children and young people and their parents/carers is also desirable.</p><p>The post holder will need experience in providing time-limited therapy for clients with a wide range of difficulties e.g. trauma and relationship issues.</p><p>The post holder will prioritise, assess, plan evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of highly complex care to an agreed and expected professional standard and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team.</p><p>The post holder will receive regular professional management and clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy and professional practice guidelines as set out by their professional body.
