  <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our acute mental health teams at our site at Kingfisher Court, Radlett. This is an exciting opportunity due to the opening of a new acute assessment ward.</p> <p>The postholder will provide occupational therapy expertise within the multi-disciplinary team, including specialist assessment, individual, and group work intervention. They will have a leadership &amp; supervisory role in the OT team. The teams consist of occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, arts therapists, a horticulturalist, psychologists as well as a full MDT.</p> <p>There are regular opportunities to network with other OTs to share ideas and good practice, engage in CPD and funded external courses including Masters or PGDip level study in a variety of specialties such as Sensory Integration, Trauma Informed Care &amp; Reducing Restrictive Practice.</p> <p>Robust supervision from the Band 7 and 8 OTs with growth opportunities will support the post-holder to develop as a Band 6 level using a bespoke training package.</p>

  <p>This is a community-based post, located within the CAMHS in Social Care Team (CISC) here in Tower Hamlets. The team are based across the CAMHS Emanuel Miller Centre in Limehouse as well as the Local Authority Town Hall in Whitechapel. The CiSC team offers accessible, flexible, timely and responsive CAMHS input to children, young people and their families who are subject to Social Care plans (LAC, CP or CIN).</p> <p>It is a multidisciplinary team offering consultation to Social Worker and the wider children's workforce as well as assessment, care planning and clinical intervention to the children and families that they work with where there are mental health concerns.   <p>This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy/proton beam therapy review team at UCLH. The post holder will undertake rotations between the photon and proton departments. The role involves working and leading within the Radiotherapy Review Team; reviewing patients during their treatment and supporting them both physically and psychologically throughout their radiotherapy journey. They will be required to ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication to the wider MDT. The post holder will play a key role in helping patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy, along with providing them with advice on how to self-care and manage their symptoms appropriately. Any proton beam therapy or photon beam thearpy training required relating to managing side effects of this treatment and other required underpinning knowledge will be provided. Training for on treatment review and independent/supplementary prescribing if required will be supported.The photon department is equipped with Varian TrueBeam systems and a Halcyon with advanced imaging packages and 6DoF couches. The department has a comprehensive brachytherapy suite and a Gulmay skin unit. UCLH is one of only two NHS sites delivering proton beam therapy across the NHS.</p>

  <p>To work with Review Radiographers, Radiotherapy Sisters, Charge Nurses and Staff Nurses, leading as part of the review team.To review patient's during their course of photon or proton treatment and to support them both physically and psychologically throughout their treatment.To ensure there is an appropriate plan for the on-treatment review of each patient and a mechanism of communication of untoward effectsTo lead on service evaluations, audits and projects under a quality improvement framework within the scope of the Review TeamTo leave in teaching, development and appraisal of members of the Review TeamTo help patients understand the treatment process, toxicity and likely side effects of radiotherapy both during and after treatment. Patients should be encouraged to report side effects and advised how to manage symptoms appropriately.To ensure patients' side effects are treated appropriately and efficiently.To give verbal and written information if required.To enable them to discuss any concerns they may have and to feel supported during their treatment.To refer patients as necessary to other health care professionals e.g. dieticians, counsellors etc. and community agencies as needed.To ensure that appropriate follow up arrangements are made and continuity of care communicated to the patient and any other appropriate health care profession. </p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p><strong>Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist in Pain Management</strong>   This is an exciting opportunity to join the Enfield Pain Service (EPS) which serves patients who have a long-term pain condition e.g. chronic lower back pain, chronic widespread pain, fibromyalgia. The EPS is staffed by a supportive team of medical, physiotherapy and psychology professionals as we acknowledge that pain impacts a person's life in lots of different ways.   You'll be working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to deliver psychological assessment and intervention (1:1 and group pain management programmes based on CBT/ACT/CFT) for this cohort of patients. You'll also be supporting the wider multidisciplinary team and liaising with relevant external community services e.g. Talking Therapies, MSK services, community mental health teams. As one of the senior clinicians in the service, you'll be managing and supervising other members of the EPS, leading on aspects of service delivery, evaluation and innovation, and taking on managerial duties to ensure the effective running of the service. Previous experience of working in Pain and/or Long-term Health Conditions is essential. Having additional training and experience in EMDR and PTSD would be advantageous.  Working in pain services can be incredibly rewarding, where psychology is highly valued, and you will develop your skills and experiences of working as a senior clinician and manager in a supportive team.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Provide specialist psychological assessment</li>
<li>Provide specialist 1:1 psychological interventions based on cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance &amp; commitment therapy and/or compassion focused therapy. </li>
<li>Provide clinical supervision and line management to staff.</li>
<li>Co-facilitate group pain management programmes (PMP's) and contribute to the development of PMP's</li>
<li>Contribute to the collection and analysis of outcome data of both individual and group interventions</li>
<li>Contribute to the management, delivery and performance of the service.</li>
<li>Offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the services' policies and procedures</li>
