  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Band 6 Neurological Occupational Therapy rotation. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within a varied and complex neurological caseload across the continuum of care from the acute setting into the community. We are passionate about the role of Occupational Therapy in neurology with a key focus in all areas on occupational focused assessment and intervention.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>This position would involve 12 month rotations in the following clinical areas:</strong></p><p>Lotus Rehabilitation Centre- a 26 bedded rehabilitation unit providing specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation for adults with stroke or complex neurological needs</p><p>Acute Neurology Team- A neuro specialist MDT delivering assessment and intervention for patients with a broad range of neurological conditions. Our input can start on ICU and continues through to the acute wards making the caseload interesting and varied.</p><p>Hyper acute and Acute Stroke Unit- a 34 bedded unit, one of the largest in the country, working in a strong integrated therapy team to deliver early assessments and interventions to stroke patients.</p><p>In each rotation you will be working as a part of an integrated multidisciplinary team. You will be supervised and supported by a specialist band 7 Occupational Therapist, this will include regular supervision, 1:1 joint patient sessions and individualised training. This position will offer opportunities for junior staff supervision, participation in quality improvement project and audits. Regular in house training is provided as well as peer support across the neurological pathway. There is also the opportunity to apply for specialist CPD external funding to further enhance and develop your skills within neurology.</p>

  <p>The service is run by a friendly team of 19 sonographers who rotate through General and Obstetrics departments with 12 cross-site Ultrasound Radiology Assistants. The services are run over 3, accessible sites, Eastbourne District General Hospital, Conquest Hospital and a brand-new state of the art Community Diagnostic Centre in Bexhill.</p>  <p>We run a range of out-patient appointment lists, in-patient services on the acute sites, and a range of one stop clinics including Early Pregnancy Assessment, Gynae, Breast Triple Assessment and Obstetric clinics, using 18 high-end ultrasound machines, which the Trust supports a timely machine replacement scheme for. We have two new reporting systems in the department, recently upgrading SECTRA PACS and ViewPoint 6 for reporting.</p>  <p>The ultrasound team work closely with our friendly, and supportive Radiologists and Obstetricians who promote specialist training in: Breast (including breast intervention), Head &amp; Neck, Paediatrics (including baby hips and cranial), MSK (including interventional procedures), orbits and small parts.At ESHT we encourage and support our team to advance their ultrasound skills to include these areas. The department also actively supports training of registrars, sonographer and radiographer students.</p> <p>Additionally, the ultrasound department provides opportunities for CPD, external courses and extension of administrative roles including QA, clinical audits, education officer, H&amp;S, and managerial duties.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

  <p>An exciting opportunity for a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist to join our established Specialist Psychotherapy Service at BSMHFT, to support us in delivering and developing high quality therapy services for patients with complex attachment trauma and emotional needs. This post is open to professionals with a core mental health profession EG: psychology (clinical or counselling), art psychotherapy, mental health nursing or related field with further training in and experience of providing psychodynamic psychotherapy.</p>
<p>We are a well-established service that has been providing therapeutic services for over thirty years, for people with complex and enduring emotional difficulties. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of people committed to providing and maintaining high quality and compassionate psychological care and supporting staff in applying psychodynamic ideas to their work through the provision of supervision, consultation and training. Continuing professional development and the opportunity to learn from experience is highly valued in this service.</p>
<p>We are looking for someone who has a training and experience in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and an understanding and an interest in Compassion Focused Therapy and who is willing to engage in further training to meet the needs of the service. Any further training required will be supported by SPS. The post offers the opportunity to be involved in both individual and group therapy.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>A psychodynamic approach underpins all of our work at SPS. We provide group and individual long term psychotherapy for up to years. This includes a compassion focused group psychotherapy programme, a therapeutic day programme, analytic group work and individual psychotherapy. We also provide supervision, reflective practice , consultation, link work and training to staff across the trust and you would be expected to contribute to these activities as needed with a focus on the clinical provision in SPS.</p>
<p>As a member of the team you will be expected to contribute to projects that are aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of our service to our diverse Birmingham population.</p>
<p>You will be supported in this post through clinical supervision, reflective practice and line management arrangements. This position will be based at Callum Lodge in Winson Green and Coach House at the Uffculme site, although travel to other sites on occasion may be required.</p>
<p>There will be opportunities to work with colleagues across the trust on specific projects and there is an option to be part of the on call rota system.</p>

  <p>The post involves providing psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions for people with common mental health problems and people living with long term physical health conditions (on the telephone and in an individual and group setting). Some of your role can be provided from home and you will also work out of TalkingSpace Plus venues within Oxfordshire.</p> <p>The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul>  <li>Assess clients for suitability for CBT or refer to manager/supervisor for advice on how to manage the case.</li>  <li>To evaluate and make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent asnecessary.</li>  <li>Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients.</li>  <li>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.</li> </ul>
