An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary Employee Health team, providing an occupational health service to one of the largest community NHS trusts in London.
In this unique role, you will be part of both the Occupational Health Nursing team and a dedicated Mental Health team, working closely with our Practitioner Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Counsellor to support the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse who is keen to expand their professional horizons. Previous occupational health experience is not required, as we welcome applications from registered mental health nurses who are eager to learn and develop within this specialist field.
Main duties of the jobWorking as part of our multidisciplinary Employee Health team, you will provide specialist mental health expertise while supporting the delivery of a high-quality occupational health service. You will work collaboratively with Occupational Health Nurses, the Practitioner Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Counsellor to promote the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
To be successful in this role, you will:- Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with or without Registered General Nurse (RGN) registration.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building effective working relationships with colleagues and service users.
- Be confident using IT systems and managing a varied workload with a flexible, proactive and organised approach.
- Have up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation, professional guidance and best practice, applying this effectively within service delivery.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgement alongside strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently while contributing positively to a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Previous occupational health experience is not required. We welcome applications from Registered Mental Health Nurses who are keen to develop their skills within occupational health and will provide the support needed to help you succeed in this specialist area.
