  <p>We are seeking an experienced Musculoskeletal qualified physiotherapist who is keen to expand their experience into working with patients with chronic pain problems by working as part of the Pain clinic team delivering the Pain Management Service for Kingston and Richmond foundation Trusts. </p> <p>The Pain clinic is situated in Teddington Health and Social care centre (THSCC) 18 Queen's Road, Teddington, TW11 0LR (Behind Teddington Memorial hospital).</p> <p>You will be enthusiastic &amp; dynamic and with adequate musculoskeletal experience to feel confident in assessing and managing this patient group.</p> <p>You will be a key member of the Pain Management Service Team, who provide an integrated service to adults referred with persistent pain. The team includes clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, specialist physiotherapists, an alexander technique teacher and acupuncturist who work closely alongside consultant anaesthetists who specialise in chronic pain management.</p> <p>We are a well-established, supportive and innovative service and are currently piloting an initiative to improve the patient pathway for people referred to therapies.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role will:</p> <ul>  <li>Be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, efficient Physiotherapy service to all appropriate patients referred from the Pain Clinic.</li>  <li>To deliver Pain management programme with a psychologist or psychotherapist.</li>  <li>Undertake and deliver individually led classes and 1:1 courses of treatment</li>  <li>Participate in appropriate audit and research activities within the Pain Management Service.</li> </ul> <p>Applicants must be trained in physiotherapy to the standard required for registration with the Chartered society of physiotherapy &amp; Registered with the HPC.</p> <p>You should have at least 5-6 years post-qualification experience in a medical setting. Preferably with at least 3 year of musculoskeletal outpatient experience and experience of working with patient with persistent pain. Experience of working with patients within a chronic pain service would be desirable.</p> <p>Ability to communicate sensitively is essential. You will be a team player, IT literate and demonstrate commitment to updating and maintaining your clinical skills.</p>

This is a part time, permanent post providing psychological support to children, adolescents and their families.   <p>To support and enhance the professional psychological care of users of the service, providing psychological assessments and interventions, including in group settings, within the scope appropriate to level of experience and training, and to undertaking related tasks to enhance assessment, intervention and evaluation within the care group. The role will also involve the formulation of risk and need to deliver care plans involving the psychological as well as management of service user needs in settings where there may be high expressed emotion, challenging behaviour and potential hostility.   <p>The successful applicant will work as the Senior Group Facilitator with the wider MDT to develop and deliver a range of group interventions as part of the group work programme at ARC Hounslow. These will be evidence based and will include Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention, Activity based CBT-informed, Positive Psychology and Solution Focused interventions supporting service users from contemplating change through to long term recovery and aftercare.</p> <p>The post holder will have appropriate awareness and/or working knowledge of therapies relevant to drug and alcohol disorders (i.e. Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, ITEP.) and have experience of assessment, care planning, case management, risk assessment and of offering individual and group-based recovery interventions.</p>

  <p>To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team which provides a range of specialist services to service users presenting with substance misuse issues, including alcohol. Including group work in 1-1 and group work settings, outreach; delivering evidence-based interventions such as: harm minimisation approaches, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, care planning individual interventions, health education and detoxification programmes, mindfulness, counselling.</p> <p>To make continuous assessments of the psychological, emotional, social and rehabilitative needs of clients, in group and 1:1 settings, taking into account the needs of family, local community and developing care plans and evaluation of these plans.</p> <p>To be able to assess and case manage clients who inject drugs, in particular assessing injection sites and be conversant with the precepts of harm minimisation, taking a predominant role in providing duty assessments to clients who are new to the service. </p>

  <p>A band 3 role for a Therapy Assistant in Neuro Rehabilitation has become available in the Community Based Neuro Rehab Team based in the Reading area. The role is for 37.5 hours per week. </p>   <p>The team sees patients for Community Neuro rehabilitation and on the Earlier Supported Discharge for Stroke service.. We are a well-respected team consisting of Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Stroke Rehab Nurses, Administrators and Therapy Assistants. </p>   <p>The role is community based and you will need to drive to patients' houses and other community sites to deliver rehabilitation on an individual basis following relevant induction. </p>   <p>Rehabilitation is delivered to patients with both improving and deteriorating Neurological conditions. Working with our patients can be extremely rewarding but does require sensitivity at times and can on occasional feel challenging, for which there is support from the team and a robust supervision structure. </p>   <p>The Therapy assistant role is pivotal to the team and will include providing independent and joint face to face therapy sessions together with completing administrative tasks to support the team. </p>   <p>The team is well established, and individuals have expert knowledge and experience which can be used to support you to develop your skills within neurological rehabilitation.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>*You will have developed a strong and compassionate alliance with adults with a learning disability, and mental health difficulties and understand the important role of families and paid carers.</p> <p>*You will understand how to provide innovative evidenced-based individual and group music therapy assessment and treatment programs, within various community settings across West Herts.</p> <p>You will be a highly motivated communicator, with the team's shared passion for achieving the best outcomes for our service users.  </p> <p>You will provide clinical supervision and support to other arts therapists and students when required.</p> <p>The post may require working across a number of locations in West Hertfordshire, and will require some travel across the county.</p>
