  <p>The post is 0.5wte Senior Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist for Longview Ward which is the female acute ward at Hopewood Park. The post will be part of the wider MDT working with service users on Longview Ward.</p>
<p>We are delighted to be offering a Band 8a Clinical Psychology post within our Adult Inpatients Service based at Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland and are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists or Psychological Therapists to provide specialist psychological input on our wards. Previous experience of working in an inpatient setting either pre/during or post clinical psychology training is desirable but not essential.</p>
<p>There are three acute adult inpatient wards at Hopewood Park, two male and one female, Each has the provision of a 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours) Psychologist, supported by a 0.5 WTE Higher Assistant Psychologist. There is an 8c Consultant Psychologist post across all the 3 acute wards.</p>
<p>Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services provide multi-disciplinary care using a biopsychosocial model for service users over the age of 18. The acute service provides care for service users with acute mental health needs who require assessment and treatment in hospital. Service users admitted to hospital are often highly complex and have a range of experiences and difficulties including neurodiversity, psychosis, personality difficulties and learning difficulties, risk to self and others, forensic issues and behaviours that challenge.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post involves providing expertise in applying specialist psychological assessment, including cognitive assessments, collaborative formulation and interventions with service users and working with multi-disciplinary teams to embed formulation and trauma informed care. This includes individual and group based work and involvement of families and carers. It will involve supporting multidisciplinary staff working with service users through supervision, team formulation, contributing to understanding complex risk, developing behaviour support plans and providing reflective practice sessions and training to the teams. The role may also involve research, service evaluation and audit. You will be supported to develop your skills in these areas and in addition all of the wards have Higher Assistant Psychologist time and this provides opportunities for the development of skills in supervision.</p>

  <p>Clinical or Forensic Psychologist - Band 7 -(Full Time)</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services for people with Intellectual Disabilities at Brooklands Hospital. The secure services consist of an LD male medium secure and a male and female low secure service and an autism only male low secure service.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible. The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management, and it is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or considerable experience of working with people with Intellectual (learning) disabilities who present considerable risk to others.</p>

We are therefore looking for applicants who either have experience in Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) or have a good foundation of transferable skills and an interest to develop in this area.</p> <p>There is a strong sense of camaraderie within the Milton Keynes EIP team, and a strong partnership between operational and clinical staff. There are opportunities to access funded specialist training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for psychosis and family interventions.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Milton Keynes Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service is a multi-disciplinary team providing treatment and support for people who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time, and during the first three years following a first episode of psychosis. The service has a strong focus on providing psychological inventions alongside care-coordination, help, advice and support. The team helps service users make sense of their experiences, provides treatment and interventions to enable them to get back to, or continue to, work or study, whilst liaising with other services and agencies to sort out benefits and finances, and help solve any housing problems.</p> <p>A key part of the role will be acting as liaison and Principal Investigator for research trials (e.g. virtual reality CBT) from different universities.</p> <p>Our staff demonstrate an interest in providing a high level of service for service users and carers as well as an interest in service development. We are looking for motivated and committed clinical or counselling psychologists who are passionate to lead the development of psychological therapies and the therapy pathways within our service.</p> <p>Where the applicant will be newly qualified on appointment they will join a number of other recent recruits in Milton Keynes and undergo a well- established, thorough preceptorship programme ensuring they are equipped with the competencies required of an 8a post holder before they progress.</p>

and delivering community based services for St Andrews. We offer a range
of services including, a busy private therapy clinic, a Medico-Legal Service,
Diagnostic Assessment Clinics (ADHD and ASD), a Complex Trauma Service for
Military Veterans, a community transition service and a range of MHTR services
across the midlands and east of England. We support LightBulb a schools based
mental wellness programme and are able to offer a comprehensive development
plan for those wishing to gain a range of experience.</p><p><strong>The Role and Person</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for delivering
outcome based psychological therapy that is uniquely tailored to meet the needs
of service users living in the region.You will supervise a number of
assistant psychologist supporting them in a manualised treatment approach,
whilst working with the wider team on more complex cases. You will be offered
supervision from a consultant Psychologist working within our service, they
will encourage you to develop your strengths and skills with opportunities for
professional development. </p><p>The service is community based and
appointments are offered where possible in the service users locality as well
as remotely via telephone and video. As some travel will be required, a
full drivers licence is essential or access to good public transport links.

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in Acute Mental Health. You will be working in a very dynamic environment, which will provide you with many opportunities to learn and develop your therapeutic and systemic skills. There will also be an opportunity to be creative and innovative within the role, bringing new ideas, incorporating evidence-based practice into how the service is delivered.</p> <p>Within the ward environment, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in the application of psychology not just at an individual level, but at the team and group level. A strong interest in pursuing consultation and leadership roles and developing skills in assessment and practice within a group context is desired. Running reflective practice sessions for staff, consider your position in the team and wider systemic issues, together with an interest in developing the skills to intervene via a range of formats, e.g., ward groups, staff consultation, families/carers and the MDT.</p> <p>You will be well supported through regular clinical and managerial supervision as well as training to develop both professionally and personally within the role. There are many CPD opportunities as well as opportunities to join specialist supervision groups, such as the Trauma Clinical Network Group and other groups.</p> <p>Experience in an Acute Setting is not required for this role and we would consider newly qualified psychologists.</p>

  <p>We are seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Psychologist to become an integral part of our friendly and expanding team within the Psychological Services department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to our neuropsychology services, delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological support to individuals coping with a variety of neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries and brain tumours.</p>
<p>The post will be managed within the wider Department of Psychological Services, which is a rapidly expanding and forward thinking team of psychologists and psychological therapists. The post will be supported with regular supervision from experienced qualified clinicians, access to peer support and professional development opportunities, and engagement with our medical teams, renowned for their dedication and innovative approaches to patient care.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Assistant Psychologist will contribute to high-quality patient care within our neuropsychology services, administering cognitive tests and offering psychological support under the supervision of a clinical neuropsychologist . The post holder will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in research and audit activities, and adhere to Trust and departmental policies while staying updated on service and professional standards.</p> <p>There will be opportunities for delivering training to other staff as guided by their supervisor, ensuring compliance with record-keeping guidelines, and engaging in service-related research under supervision.
