  <p><strong>Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist seeking a new challenge?</strong></p> <p>A full time opportunity has arisen for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the Oxfordshire Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team and Maternal Mental Health Service in a development role. The right candidate will work across both teams to play a key role in providing evidence-based treatments to perinatal patients across Oxfordshire, as well as supervision, training and consultation.</p> <p>We are looking for a skilled psychologist who is motivated to develop towards clinical leadership and service development, as well as the provision of specialist supervision and support to more junior members of staff.You will have experience of working alongside a range of other professionals to provide psychological advice and consultation regarding formulation and treatment.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate will have experience of providing psychological assessment and intervention for adults in the perinatal period with severe and/or complex mental health difficulties.</p> <p>We welcome applications from newly or soon-to-be qualified clinical or counselling psychologists.</p>

  <p>This role is crucial in ensuring that patients get timely access to high quality specialist psychological treatments within the Oxfordshire Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team. As part of the role, you will:</p> <ul>  <li>Provide psychological assessment and intervention for adults with severe and/or complex mental health difficulties presenting in the perinatal period and their families in outpatient, community and inpatient settings as required. This may include the use of digital technology.</li>  <li>Supervise and support the psychological assessment and interventions provided by assistant and trainee psychologists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment, dependent on experience.</li>  <li>Provide ad hoc advice, consultation and supervision on clients' psychological care to colleagues and other professionals as delegated by the Principal Clinical Psychologist.</li>  <li>Work towards the standards, duties and responsibilities expected of a band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, which, if achieved in line with developmental reviews, will lead to an opportunity for promotion to band 8a.</li> </ul> <p>You will excel at working autonomously, managing a caseload and taking responsibility for the governance of your psychological practice within a multidisciplinary team. Perinatal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The post is 0.5wte Senior Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist for Longview Ward which is the female acute ward at Hopewood Park. The post will be part of the wider MDT working with service users on Longview Ward.</p>
<p>We are delighted to be offering a Band 8a Clinical Psychology post within our Adult Inpatients Service based at Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland and are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists or Psychological Therapists to provide specialist psychological input on our wards. Previous experience of working in an inpatient setting either pre/during or post clinical psychology training is desirable but not essential.</p>
<p>There are three acute adult inpatient wards at Hopewood Park, two male and one female, Each has the provision of a 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours) Psychologist, supported by a 0.5 WTE Higher Assistant Psychologist. There is an 8c Consultant Psychologist post across all the 3 acute wards.</p>
<p>Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services provide multi-disciplinary care using a biopsychosocial model for service users over the age of 18. The acute service provides care for service users with acute mental health needs who require assessment and treatment in hospital. Service users admitted to hospital are often highly complex and have a range of experiences and difficulties including neurodiversity, psychosis, personality difficulties and learning difficulties, risk to self and others, forensic issues and behaviours that challenge.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post involves providing expertise in applying specialist psychological assessment, including cognitive assessments, collaborative formulation and interventions with service users and working with multi-disciplinary teams to embed formulation and trauma informed care. This includes individual and group based work and involvement of families and carers. It will involve supporting multidisciplinary staff working with service users through supervision, team formulation, contributing to understanding complex risk, developing behaviour support plans and providing reflective practice sessions and training to the teams. The role may also involve research, service evaluation and audit. You will be supported to develop your skills in these areas and in addition all of the wards have Higher Assistant Psychologist time and this provides opportunities for the development of skills in supervision.</p>
