<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) were established in Nottingham City in February 2020, providing an early intervention and preventative service for over 892 children and young people and their families so far. This includes providing support for anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties, as well as running workshops to groups of children within educational settings, on themes such as transition, resilience and wellbeing, general wellbeing hacks, worry and distractions and emotions through puberty.</p><p>Currently MHST are supporting children and young people in over 70 educational settings, which will increase over the next 18 months to around 100 sites across the city. The expansion is being funded through £1.01m from NHS England and Health Education England as part of a national initiative.</p><p>We work in partnership with the school community and other wellbeing services to develop a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, building on what is being done already. We aim to achieve this goal through offering a range of services, including:</p><ul> <li>Improving access to mental health support and services.</li> <li>Delivering training and workshops for schools and parents</li> <li>Providing consultation to schools on mental health and wellbeing</li> <li>Individual and group interventions for children and young people experiencing difficulties with managing emotions</li> <li>And more!</li></ul>

  <p>Work as part of the Prison Health Team at HMP Nottingham, providing support to patients with health difficulties, during the time they spend in prison and when they are first released back into the community.</p> <p>Work is guided by standard operating procedures, protocols or systems of work but the post holder will make judgements and plan activities, which contributes to service development and demonstrates self-development within their scope of competency.</p> <p>May have responsibility for supervision of some staff and participate in the mentorship of learners.</p>  <p>Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check.   <p>We have 33 theatres across both Coventry and Rugby sites. As a level one major trauma centre we provide 24/7 emergency and trauma surgery and take polytrauma patients from around the region. The charity currently provides an embedded mental health service in 500 UK primary and secondary schools supporting a school community of around 243,000 children and young people.&nbsp;&nbsp;
<p>Our teams provide a range of services in our partner schools to build resilience early in life through counselling, creative work and play and support a child’s ability to engage in school life.&nbsp; Our work, focused on early intervention, is part of the comprehensive CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) system.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>

Through our professional development programme, we are training around 1,200 Counsellors on Placement each year who build their mental health and counselling skills and experience through practice in our partner schools. We also provide a range of professional development programmes on mental health and wellbeing for school leaders, teachers and other professionals who work with children and young people, so we can help to build ‘mentally healthy’ schools and communities where all children can thrive and flourish.</p>
