Counselor

<h2>Job overview</h2><p>We are offering placement at the Dunraven Secondary Phase to Counselling or Psychotherapy students who require practical counselling experience with 11–18-year-old students to supplement their studies.</p><p>The number of clinical hours will be dependent on trainees’ availability; however, we would advise a minimum of 4 hours per week so this can be beneficial to your studies and our students.</p><p>You will be working with secondary school-aged students and will demonstrate an ability to deal with confidential matters in a supportive and therapeutic manner, the primary focus being the well-being of our students.</p><p>The school’s aim is “Excellence for All”, and the trustees wish to offer such placements to candidates of significant ability and enthusiasm who are aware of and stimulated by the challenges and potential of a successful, multi-ethnic coeducational school.</p><p><strong>Start date: </strong>Not applicable.   <p>We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to join our dynamic and forward thinking team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. 
You will be expected to work full-time, working 38.5 hours a week, working days and nights on a rota basis. (shift times 7:30am to 8:00pm; 7:30pm to 8:00am).
The post offers successful candidates a unique opportunity to develop their skills across specialities, such as DBT, and knowledge from other specialist pathways all under one roof.
Hooper Ward is our 13 bed acute mental health service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
New Dawn Ward is our 18 bed specialist Tier 4 Personality Disorder service. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act.
Upping Ward is our 15 bed intensive Support Service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs. The service pathway provides a robust programme of care for women with challenging high risk behaviour who experience difficulties with engagement with therapeutic programmes. We aim to meet the needs of these women, who may have had previous inappropriate placements, in a less restrictive setting.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a is a gender specific hospital for women with complex mental health needs.
Situated in the East End of London, the hospital has four different specialist wards including PICU, acute admissions and personality disorder services.
We accept emergency and planned, pre-assessed admissions. Our aim is to support individual service user recovery and integration back into the community, as quickly as possible. We have a multi-disciplinary team of specialists and offer a very broad range of therapies.</p>
