You will be providing strategic leadership and expert psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight within forensic mental health services, acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act and delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for male service users on our medium secure wards. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.
Where you will be working:
Farmfield Hospital is a 64-bed secure unit with both MSU and LSU wards for male patients. The hospital is purpose built and run by the highly experienced Elysium Healthcare group. The hospital is in the beautiful county of Surrey and has excellent transport links to London and Brighton. Gatwick airport is practically next door!
Working with an established multi-professional team, you will deliver individualised care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:

 <li>Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for patients.</li>
 <li>Work constructively with other multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure good patient care and throughput.</li>

Role Overview The School Counsellor &amp; Lead Practitioner will lead the delivery of a high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic offer that supports pupil wellbeing and enhances teaching and learning across Arco Academy. The postholder will provide direct counselling and therapy to pupils, lead the therapeutic team, coordinate reflective practice and supervision, contribute to inclusion strategy and safeguarding, and lead on CPD and professional development for staff. They will be both a practitioner and a strategic leader - ensuring the highest standards of therapeutic care and inclusion while supporting the growth and development of the Academy’s counselling and wellbeing provision. Scope of Services•	Assessment &amp; Intervention - Assess pupil needs, design and implement intervention plans, and provide individual/group counselling, including crisis intervention where required. •	Collaboration &amp; Consultation - Work with teachers, parents, administrators, and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing and inclusion, and provide consultation to staff on mental health and behaviour. •	Reporting &amp; Documentation - Maintain accurate and confidential records, and provide reports on counselling outcomes, specialism, and emerging trends. •	Professional Development &amp; CPD - Lead CPD sessions for staff on wellbeing and inclusion, while engaging in ongoing professional development. •	Strategic Inclusion Support - Contribute to school-wide policies and strategies that promote safeguarding, mental health, and inclusion. •	Volunteer &amp; Student Support - Recruit, onboard, and support the development of volunteers or student therapists provided by Arco, enhancing service capacity and increasing the number of students supported. Responsibilities Clinical and Therapeutic Practice •	Provide confidential individual and group counselling to students addressing emotional, behavioural, or academic concerns. •	Deliver crisis intervention, including immediate emotional support in emergencies or trauma. •	Conduct assessments to identify student needs and make referrals to internal or external support services. •	Design and deliver psychological interventions based on trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and evidence-based practice. •	Work with pupils who may have complex or enduring mental health difficulties. Leadership &amp; Supervision •	Lead, supervise, and coordinate the multidisciplinary therapy team (psychotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, trainees, and volunteers). •	Provide clinical supervision, reflective practice sessions, and line management where appropriate. •	Lead the Arco Academy Inclusion Panel and ensure the delivery of school-wide interventions informed by annual needs analysis. Collaboration &amp; Consultation •	Work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to promote wellbeing and inclusion. •	Provide consultation to teachers on classroom behaviour, trauma responses, and student engagement. •	Build partnerships with local mental health services, including CAMHS, and community-based organisations. Strategic Development •	Develop and evaluate the Academy’s therapeutic offer. •	Lead initiatives that promote emotional health, safeguarding, and inclusion across the school. •	Represent Arco Academy at external networks and promote the school’s therapeutic reputation within the community. Documentation &amp; Reporting •	Maintain detailed and confidential records in line with data protection and safeguarding regulations. •	Provide regular outcome reports, service reviews, and progress updates to senior leadership. •	Capture and analyse data using the school’s management information system. To achieve this we need high quality support, guidance, and clinical supervision for our growing team of exceptional counsellors, and to ensure that all safeguarding cases which arise are responded to effectively for the safety of the clients we work with.You will be joining a small, robust, ethically and clinically led Clinical Team overseeing the clinical governance, clinical quality and safeguarding of counselling and therapy work delivered at Spill. We currently have over 80 counsellors and are rapidly growing, so this role forms an essential part of the clinical oversight at Spill. Additional time is available and optional.As this is a Safeguarding Lead role, on the above days it is important that the post holder is able to respond to and effectively manage safeguarding escalations on the day (between 9am and 6pm). 			Join Emerald Place Clinic as a Consultant Child and Young People Psychiatrist and deliver, treat and empower young people to live a safe and independent life. 
You will join our multidisciplinary team in a 12-bed General Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The unit provides care for young people aged 13 –18 experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring inpatient treatment. You will play a key role in clinical leadership, risk management, and therapeutic planning, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care.
As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support the children and young people, and their families, as they progress through their care plans to understand eating behaviours and restore physical health.&nbsp;
You will work alongside the talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. This will allow you to understand symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress.&nbsp;

Clinical Duties

 <li>Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication in line with NICE guidelines.</li>
 <li>Conduct regular ward rounds, CPA reviews, and Mental Health Act assessments.</li>
 <li>Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies including Case managers, community CYPMHS, social care, and education providers.</li>
 <li>Provide clinical leadership in managing complex cases and safeguarding concerns.</li>
