  <p>MHST EMHP / CWP/ Mental Health Practitioner</p>
<p>Hillingdon Mental Health Support Team is looking for a <strong>Qualified</strong> <strong>EMHP or Generic Mental Health Practitioner</strong> who has experience of working with Children and Young People in Mental Health Services in the provision of individual and group treatments. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and vibrant individual who is passionate about improving health outcomes for children and young people.</p>
<p>Mental health professionals with post graduate training in a recognised therapy modality and experience of working with CYP may also apply. We are open to applications from newly qualified occupational therapists, mental health nurses, social workers or other relevant therapy post graduate qualifications.</p>
<p>You will work alongside other EMHPs, Mental Health Practitioners and a Senior Practitioner to support the wellbeing and mental health needs of schools and colleges in the borough of Hillingdon.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This is a role within the Green Paper for Transforming children and young people's mental health programme. The post holder will work within a service providing low intensity interventions. The post-holder will provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self- management interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and/or behavioural difficulties and their parent(s)/carer(s).</p> <p>The post holder will work with children, young people and parents with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p> <ul>  <li>Undertaking assessments and delivering evidence-based, low-intensity, brief intervention for children and young people,with mild to moderate mental health problems, in an <strong>education setting.</strong></li>  <li>Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist service.</li>  <li>Supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify, and where appropriate, manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.</li>  <li>Working with and within educational environments to afford better access to CYP mental health services.</li>  <li>Training and consultation to schools and other agencies about mental health in children and young people.</li>  <li>Support schools in developing their Whole School Approach to mental health.</li> </ul>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role is crucial in ensuring that patients get timely access to high quality specialist psychological treatments within the Oxfordshire Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team. As part of the role, you will:</p> <ul>  <li>Provide psychological assessment and intervention for adults with severe and/or complex mental health difficulties presenting in the perinatal period and their families in outpatient, community and inpatient settings as required. This may include the use of digital technology.</li>  <li>Supervise and support the psychological assessment and interventions provided by assistant and trainee psychologists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment, dependent on experience.</li>  <li>Provide ad hoc advice, consultation and supervision on clients' psychological care to colleagues and other professionals as delegated by the Principal Clinical Psychologist.</li>  <li>Work towards the standards, duties and responsibilities expected of a band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, which, if achieved in line with developmental reviews, will lead to an opportunity for promotion to band 8a.</li> </ul> <p>You will excel at working autonomously, managing a caseload and taking responsibility for the governance of your psychological practice within a multidisciplinary team.  <li>Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical &amp; verbal aggression, history of sexual offending and drug &amp; alcohol problems.</li>
