Lead Clinical Psychologist

  <p>Band 7 CBT Therapist or Clinical Psychologist</p> <p>We have an exciting, full-time job opportunity for a psychological therapist who would enjoy working in a specialist secondary care service for people with bipolar disorder and related conditions. The role would suit either a clinical psychologist or a BABCP registered CBT therapist. The successful candidate would join our dedicated team of psychological practitioners delivering interventions to people with mood disorders which includes the Mood on Track programme, a group-based CBT programme, also individual CBT and family intervention. Interventions are offered online and face to face.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have experience of working within secondary care mental health community services with either adults, older adults or young people. This experience may be prior to therapeutic training. The service provides intervention across the age range and is currently further developing the offer for young people.</p> <p>Research and service evaluation is a core part of our service model and opportunities to be involved in this will be available subject to interest and experience. We are committed to staff development and there may be potential for further intervention training e.g. PGCert for CBT in Bipolar and Psychosis and Family Intervention Training.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful applicant will deliver Mood on Track group CBT plus an individual staying well intervention. They will engage in psychological assessments for the programme and specific interventions. They will also deliver individual CBT and Family Intervention following Mood on Track. We are a multidisciplinary team and work closely with other teams within the trust. Liaison with other teams and services is a key part of the role.</p> <p>We work across the city, so there is an expectation to be able to travel to sites in different localities. You should have experience of working with service users with complex mental health and behavioural needs; additionally, to be familiar with the needs of a diverse BAME community and working in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation.</p> <p>We will consider part-time workers and flexible working arrangements.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p><strong>Art Psychotherapist - Band 7 - Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST)</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a 0.6 WTE Band 7 Art Psychotherapist to join the Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST), a specialist forensic community mental health team based in Rubery, South Birmingham and covering the West Midlands area. The aim of the service is to contribute to the successful transition of adult service users with significant risk histories and mental health difficulties out of secure inpatient services and support their continued recovery and risk management in the community.</p> <p>With our art therapist due to move onto a new role in the Trust shortly, we are keen to maintain art therapy provision in FIRST, as this has been highly valued within the service. The role within our vibrant community team includes delivering specialist art therapy assessments and interventions on an individual basis with service users, with the potential for facilitating group interventions too; providing specialist advice and consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues; supporting the delivery of reflective practice for staff; and contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of art therapy within FIRST and wider Secure Care.</p>

  <p>You will be joining our friendly Psychological Therapies team in FIRST, which includes practitioner psychologists, specialist psychological practitioner, assistant psychologists, all of whom have developed strong appreciation of the beneficial role art therapy can play in our service users' ongoing recovery.. You will be supported by the Head of Arts Psychotherapies within the Trust and have regular clinical supervision from an Art Psychotherapist. In addition, the Division funds forensic arts therapy group supervision and encourages attendance at local and Trust-wide development meetings for Arts Psychotherapists.   <p>We're seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a, 1.0 WTE) to help shape and deliver psychologically-informed care in our 24/7 recovery house service--a short-stay alternative to hospital admission for adults experiencing acute mental health distress.Working flexibly within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide trauma-informed assessments, brief interventions, and psychological leadership in a recovery-focused, inclusive environment that centres lived experience and cultural safety.</p> <p>Recovery House (RH)is a new and innovative service we are launching that meets an important need for people(18+)experiencing poor mental health. The RH will provide those in crisis with a safe, secure and welcoming environment to support the de-escalation of crisis. The House will be open to new and existing BSMHFT service users and will provide a homely environment, allowing people to retain independence, whilst receiving person centred and appropriate care.</p> <p>The service which is part of the Trust's Urgent Care pathway is a partnership with Birmingham Mind and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the voluntary sector.</p> <p>The RH will serve as a base for community integration, allowing service users to connect with local communities and provision, as well as their family/carers.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

  <p>Fixed Term 15 months - 7.5hrs</p><p>Are you an experienced band 6 or band 7 dietitian with previous experience in renal, diabetes or weight management and looking to work on an exciting new project? If so then an exciting opportunity has arisen on the Queen Elizabeth site at University Hospitals Birmingham.</p><p>The renal dietetic team has new funding for 15 months to provide an outpatient service to our post-transplant patients. The dietetic team are a well-respected and integral member of the renal team and in this post you will be working closely with nephrologists, transplant nurses and the renal transplant pharmacist.</p><p>We are looking for a dynamic and motivated experienced renal dietitian to help develop and lead this new service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. You will be part of a large friendly and supportive renal dietetic team.</p>

  <p>A rare and exciting vacancy has arisen for a passionate and highly motivated band 7/8a Practitioner Psychologist to join our Secure CAMHS team.</p> <p>The Secure CAMHS (SCAMHS) service sits within the Ardenleigh site and offers treatment for up to 11 young people, across two wards. It has received accreditations from QNIC and the National Autistic Society and a quality review in June 2024 highlighted strengths in a positive team culture, great relationships between young people and staff and comprehensive therapeutic provision. </p> <p>The young people we work with have often experienced significant difficulties in their lives and presentations include trauma, mental illness, personality difficulties, neurodevelopment difficulties and harm to self and/or others. As a team psychologist, you will work alongside a range of professionals, providing safe, containing environments and interventions to help the young people understand themselves, their mental health and offending behaviour. Within the role you will have opportunities to provide individual and group interventions, supervision and management of others, and be involved in training, service development, audit and evaluation.</p>

  <p>The service has a strong multi-disciplinary team ethos, in which psychology is well established and respected. It is committed to providing the best care for young people, and as such service user involvement and co-production are central to what we do.   <p>As a Physiotherapist who is a Botulinum Toxin Injector for Spasticity, the post holder will work across all 7 services within Specialist Clinics but will predominantly work within Spasticity Clinic.</p> <p>The purpose of the role is to provide robust clinical and professional leadership ensuring that the clinical strategic aims and objectives for the Service are delivered and achieved.</p> <p>The post holder will assess, treat, and manage patients as appropriate and in keeping with their clinical expertise and they will work with all services to provide dedicated support to patients.</p> <p>The post holder will provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Specialist Clinics service within Birmingham Community Healthcare (BCHC) NHS Foundation Trust.</p>   <h3>About us</h3>

  <p><strong>Assistant Psychologist - Band 4 - Permanent, Full-Time post - 1.0 WTE</strong></p> <p><strong>Inpatient Services</strong></p> <p><strong>Brooklands Hospital, Marston Green, Birmingham</strong></p> <p>Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust has an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to work in our Inpatient Services for people with Intellectual (Learning) Disabilities and Autism. There are six specialist services on the Brooklands Hospital site, providing inpatient assessment and treatment services to adults (men and women) and young people with an Intellectual Disability. This includes both secure and non-secure services. </p> <p>Your role will be to provide support to the qualified Clinical team in delivering a high quality psychology service within some of the inpatient services, working in a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with young people and adults with complex needs and who can display a range of behavioural challenge. These are busy professional roles in which energy, initiative and reflective practice are vital.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder would be joining a dynamic team with a range of clinical interests and expertise in a variety of therapeutic models including DBT, Compassion Focussed, EMDR and Narrative approaches.</p> <p>Positive Behavioural Support is a major part of our treatment philosophy and the service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence based interventions are provided to people who can present considerable risk, to ensure that they can return to a less restrictive environment in the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>All members of the team receive excellent support, good quality supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development. There are good links with psychological services staff across the Trust, developing Special Interest Groups across speciality and an annual conference. The Psychological services team also has strong links with local clinical and forensic training courses, and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical and forensic psychologists, supervision for DClinPsy and DForPsy research, and teaching on the courses.</p> <p>Candidates with experience of working within a range of clinical settings including CAMHS, Forensic, Mental Health, Social Care and Learning Disabilities are welcomed.
