  <p><strong>Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner (2-year fixed term position) at Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service - includes working at our step-down accommodation based at Balsall Heath</strong></p> <p>An exciting job opportunity has arisen to recruit a Specialist Psychological Practitioner to join our established psychology team to support the delivery of a 2-year pilot, community step-down accommodation for women being discharged from secure care. This pilot aims to extend the inpatient treatment model into a community residential setting to promote recovery beyond discharge, supporting timelier discharges and reducing the need for future admission. The role will provide opportunities for both inpatient and community work, and to be involved in service innovation.</p> <p>Clinically the role will involve working with women presenting with complex trauma, personality disorder and mental illness, both directly through the provision of specialist psychological interventions and indirectly through supervision, reflective practice, consultation and training. In relation to the pilot step-down accommodation, you would contribute significantly to the development of the psychological pathway and evaluation of this. Working across both the rehabilitation ward and the step-down accommodation, the post holder will have the opportunity to develop strong therapeutic relationships with services users, providing relational security as they take the next step in their recovery journey.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role will involve working within the WSBS at Ardenleigh and at our step-down accommodation at Balsall Heath and, as such, there will be an expectation to travel between sites across the week. You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a registered clinical/forensic psychologist. In your role you will provide psychological support for service users transitioning from inpatient care to community integration. The post holder will support the direct assessment, formulation, and delivery of a range of individual and group interventions addressing emotional, behavioural, and relational factors to improve service user' recovery and wellbeing.</p> <p>We are looking for people from a range of diverse backgrounds with an interest in working with, supporting, and enhancing the lives of people who have experienced adverse life experiences, including trauma and neglect, and have a history of offending behaviour. This post is best suited to a professional with a background in teaching, counselling, social work, family work or nursing, who has some prior training and experience of delivering psychological interventions. Prior experience of providing support or supervision to a staff group would also be desirable. Due to the MDT working involved, you will also require good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an 8b Principal Practitioner Psychologist, to provide leadership and specialist clinical input to the Secure CAMHS service. This post offers the opportunity to continue to develop the psychological provision offered to the young people in our care. The Secure CAMHS (SCAMHS) service sits within the Ardenleigh site and offers treatment for up to 11 young people. It has received accreditations from QNIC and the National Autistic Society and a quality review in June 2024 highlighted strengths in a positive team culture, great relationships between young people and staff and comprehensive therapeutic provision.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be joining a large and diverse psychological therapies team within the division, consisting of clinical and forensic psychologists, arts therapists, specialist psychological practitioners and assistant psychologists. Both services have a strong multi-disciplinary team ethos, in which psychology is well established and respected. The services are committed to providing the best care for women and young people, and as such service user involvement and co-production are central to what we do. As a psychology team we also contribute significantly to the staff well-being strategy.</p>
<p>We are committed to supporting our staff to have a positive experience of their time at work. We acknowledge that working across the Ardenleigh site can be challenging, so you will have access to a range of wellbeing support. As a division we are also committed to investing in staff and you will have opportunities for training, mentoring, supervision and career development.</p>
<p>It is essential that the successful candidate is a minimum of 5 days intensively DBT trained for them to take on the team leader role and preferably have additional training in this model.   <p>Inpatient Services for people with Intellectual Disabilities Specialist Assessment and Treatment Services (SATs) &amp; Adolescent Unit,  Brooklands Hospital, Marston Green, Birmingham </p><p></p> <p><strong>Principal Clinical Psychologist - Band 8b </strong></p> <p><strong>Secondment Opportunity - </strong><strong>0.6 WTE - 9 months (maternity cover)</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic clinical psychologist to join our team on a 9 month (maternity cover) secondment in the assessment and treatment and adolescent inpatient servicesfor people with Intellectual Disabilities at Brooklands Hospital. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting adults and young people and will take a lead role within the service, using the wide range of their clinical psychology skills, including:</p> <p> Specialist clinical assessment &amp; formulation</p> <p> Person-centred interventions (individual / group)</p> <p> Support to staff from other disciplines to undertake psychological interventions</p> <p> Care planning using a Positive Behavioural Support approach</p> <p> Facilitating team reflective practice</p> <p> Supervision and training for members of the psychology team and other professions</p> <p>Psychological input is highly valued by the MDT and there is an emphasis on close working with colleagues from psychiatry, nursing, speech &amp; language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and teaching.</p> <p>The SATS and CAMHS Psychological Services team are part of a wider Psychological Services team on the Brooklands site, which is awell-established and supportive service. Successful applicants will receive good quality supervision and support to further develop their skills and knowledge. </p> <p>The service has strong links with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical psychologists, supervision for research, and teaching on the local courses. There are also strong links with Community Learning Disability and Intensive Support teams across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. </p>
