  <p><strong>Band 7 Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist</strong></p> <p>The post holder will provide specialist psychoanalytic child psychotherapy assessment and treatment to children, young people and their families and carers across clinical pathways within CAMHS. The post holder will be required to provide initial CAMHS assessments, offering consultation and supervision as appropriate to colleagues, within and external to the organisation in accordance with best practice. There will be a requirement for audit and research activities to enhance service development.   <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable senior DBT therapist or clinical / counselling psychologist trained in DBT, with a particular interest in family therapy work.</p> <p>CASCADE is an all-ages (14+)DBT service, delivering comprehensive, adapted and DBT-informed therapies, to treat core difficulties associated with severe emotional dysregulation, complex PTSD and otherco-occurring presentations related to an Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. </p> <p>Essential criteria for this post include being trained in DBT, leadership skills, experience of supervising others, and a flexible working approach. The postholder will be expected to work collaboratively, possess excellent planning and organisational skills, contribute towards and support the delivery of service development initiatives, and demonstrate autonomous professional responsibility for all aspects of their work. </p>

  <p>You will join a growing team of new and experienced DBT therapists delivering comprehensive DBT, adapted DBT models such as DBT-PE, DBT for cPTSD, RO-DBT and other DBT-informed interventions.You will work across both the CYP and Adult DBT programmes providing individual therapy, skills training groups and telephone coaching. Additionally, you will offer specialist psychological assessments and formulations, as well as provide consultation and advice to staff teams on DBT and behavioural principles to shape environments to support clients' adaptive behaviours. As part of your role, you will be responsible for ensuring the inclusion of family and carers throughout, and for the planning and implementation of direct family work where appropriate.   <p>It is an exciting time to join the Talking Therapies team as we expand to deliver a high-quality psychological therapy service which is forward thinking and innovative.</p> <p>We are recruiting Counsellors/Psychological Therapists with skills in the practical application of NICE recommended modalities - Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD/CfD), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) or Couples Counselling for Depression, Interpersonal Psychotherapy. The post holder will work offering one of these NICE recommended modalities as part of a team of Counsellors/Psychological Therapists in the Talking Therapies service.</p> <p>Training in a NICE recommended counselling modality is essential if the candidate does not already have the required training. Training (if required) will be arranged by the Talking Therapies service, run alongside the post through the learning provider, require course attendance and clinical supervision, submission of competence based video recordings.</p> <p>Candidates are required to hold, at a minimum, an Advanced Diploma in Counselling that has included a placement of 80 hours plus, to ensure that they are equipped to undergo the specific modality training and work independently in the team. The post holder must be Accredited or working towards accreditation with BACP or UKCP.</p> <p><strong>Please note that this is a West Cornwall based role and there is an expectation for the successful candidate to work in-person within West Cornwall.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be expected to assess, formulate and implement NICE-recommended modalities of counselling.</p> <p>As a Counselling/Psychological Therapist you will be working with individuals experiencing low mood/depression.</p> <p>All Talking Therapies counsellors/psychological therapists, are required to deliver high quality services through the use of routine outcome measures, evidence-based treatment, electronic record and data management systems.</p> <p>Participation in clinical and management supervision. The post holder will be responsible for providing time-limited counselling to those service users who meet the service referral criteria. The duration of counselling interventions will be in accordance with the Talking Therapies national guidelines and service expectations</p>
