<p><strong>Primary Care &amp; Mental Health099813£39,906 - £46,049 pa14-Oct-2025 23:30</strong></p><p>The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate in clinical forensic psychology to work on a project supported by funds from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The project aims to examine emotion processing and emotion regulation in people with convictions for sexual and violent offences. The project will take a multi-method approach using methods in experimental psychology and psychophysiology.&nbsp;</p><p>You will play a key role in designing experimental paradigms for the collection of behavioural and pupillometry data. The ideal candidate will have experience of experiment design in EyeLink, and/or collecting eye tracking and pupillometry data. Join an established medical team at St Mary’s hospital as a Full-time Consultant Psychiatrist and make a real difference to men who have enduring mental health and neurocognitive problems from various forms of Acquired Brain injury.</p>
<p>St Mary’s hospital has 67 beds spread across 4 main wards. There is one 17 bedded ward providing Neurorehabilitation services for men with acquired brain injury and mental health symptoms. Another 20 bedded unit is an acute psychiatric facility for men. The other 2 wards provide care to men in secure forensic services. This includes Adams ward (a medium secure ABI ward) and Dalston ward (a low secure ABI ward).</p>
<p>As a Consultant Psychiatrist some of your key responsibilities will include management of complex cases, formulating care plans and treatments for individual needs of service users, and guiding on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.</p>
<p>The team consists currently of 3.5 consultants and 1.5 specialty doctors, and you will deliver clinical care to a dedicated caseload. You will be supported by a practice nurse and an enhanced GP service to meet patients’ physical healthcare needs. You will have support from a dedicated supervisor and a medical secretary team.</p>

<p>· To hold MRCPsych or equivalent</p>
<p>· CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry or Psychiatry of LD. We will consider experienced candidates who are not on the specialist register but have AC status.</p>

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Intervention Prevention and Promotion Service within the CAMH Service joining the established Local Integrated Family Team (LIFT), a multi-disciplinary, integrated partnership, successfully bringing together Conwy and Denbighshire County Councils and the Central Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) services. LIFT works with children of all ages, families and wider systems to understand behaviours that challenge within the home. Whilst employed through Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), you will be embedded within the LIFT team contributing to the values of the service, which puts families at the heart. Using a compassionate bio-psycho-social understanding of challenging behaviour, LIFT works with the 'missing middle', providing assessment and intervention where universal interventions have been exceeded, and where difficulties do not meet thresholds for statutory services.</p>

  <p>The team are looking for an enthusiastic Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to work alongside the LIFT Team Manager and other specialists to support the service to meet the team's aims and uphold its values and purpose.     <p>The BaNES MHST is a small and supportive team, working in approximately 77% of schools in B&amp;NES. The team comprises 12 EMHPs/CWPs, a Specialist SEN EMHP, three other Supervisors, a Deputy Manager, Clinical Psychologists, and a Clinical Manager. In your role, you will supervise EMHPs/CWPs, serve as a lead contact for our schools, undertake pre-referral consultations, and manage a caseload.</p> <p>You will receive regular case management supervision, clinical skills supervision, and supervision of supervision. You will work closely with the Deputy Team Manager and Clinical Team Manager and be part of the BaNES MHST leadership team. As a continually evolving and developing service, you will be at the forefront of our service's development.</p> <p>The B&amp;NES MHST collaborates closely with the neighbouring MHST in Wiltshire. The post holder will be part of a cohort of 11 supervisors across both teams.</p> <p>We are highly invested in our staff and will work with you to identify any learning and development needs, supporting and developing your passions and interests.</p> <p>This role within CAMHS aims to develop the role of EMHPs in the B&amp;NES MHST. It represents an opportunity for clinicians with knowledge and experience in using evidence-based low-intensity interventions to advance their careers and support the development of this new, exciting service for young people and their families.</p> <p>You will develop and support EMHPs in providing guided self-help, low-intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT, and delivering groups and training. You will work closely with senior colleagues to screen and triage all referrals. The role will also involve identifying areas of need within the new teams, helping to develop the service, and creating quality improvement plans in collaboration with senior colleagues.
