  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The purpose of this post is to improve the mental health and protection of Children and Young People who are known to the Safeguarding Service, either as Children in Need, on Child Protection Plans or Looked after and putting them at the centre of all you do. As a Systemic Psychotherapist in the safeguarding Service for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:</p><ul> <li>Providing systemic consultation and reflective spaces to professionals, particularly our social workers and the team.</li> <li>Undertaking systemic assessments of cases which may be complex in nature in order to formulate, plan and deliver a range of interventions.</li> <li>Delivering systemic psychotherapy treatment to children and families who are open to the safeguarding team, as appropriate.</li> <li>Providing clinical supervision to qualified therapists, as required.</li> <li>Provide systemic work-shops, training sessions to AfC staff.</li></ul>

  <p><strong>About the team:</strong>Lambeth Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) PAIRS Team is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced CAMHS Practitioner, who has an interest in working with children under the age of 5.</p> <p>The PAIRS Team works closely with the Lambeth Local Authority, offering group delivery, assessment and brief interventions to children, young people and their families. We are specifically interested in staff with additional training in evidence based therapeutic interventions and group work.</p>    <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>You will need to have the ability to deliver theraputic groups within the borough of Lambeth. Close working relationships with members of the team and partnership agencies e.g. Social Services, Education and others is essential. You must demonstrate an interest in multi-agency and multi-disciplinary work and be familiar with evidence-based practice. There are excellent opportunities for CPD, in service teaching and supervision within the team and the trust.You must be able to work independently and have good clinical/therapeutic and case management skills.   <p>We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to join our Care Team at Shooting Star Childrens Hospices.</p><p>Shooting Star Childrens
Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby,
child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or whose child has died.
Rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, we support families across
Surrey, north west London and south west London from diagnosis to end of life
and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and
medical care.</p><p>Our
Care Events Team provide an extensive programme of groups and events for the 800
life limited children, their families and bereaved families. There are themed
family events, social groups for siblings of different ages, pamper days for
mums, counselling groups, bereavement cafe, memorial days and many festive
events such as ice skating at Hampton Court. Taking place at our hospices and
in the communities we serve, there are 5 to 6 events each week, offering important
opportunities for families to make memories together.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The
Care Events Manager is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the annual programme of events. The Care Event Manager
leads the <em>Care Events Team</em>, including an Events Assistant, Events
Management Intern, Counsellor and care events volunteers, and working with family
support workers, childrens therapists and counsellors to deliver an incredible
programme of creative and inclusive experiences. The Care Events Manager works
alongside the Lead Therapist and Lead Counsellor to ensure that family support
at Shooting Star Childrens Hospices is everything the children and families
need it to be.</p><p>At a weekly meeting, the team are made aware of children
and family members who are struggling and think together about where they might
benefit from the opportunity to spend time with others who share similar
experiences or receive group therapy. Utilising professional events management
skills, each event is planned meticulously to be a safe and inviting space.
Providing this opportunity for families is integral to their mental wellbeing.</p>

As an integral and highly valued member of our multi-disciplinary team, the Peer Support Worker will provide formalised peer support and practical assistance to service users, empowering them to regain control over their lives and their own unique recovery process.Working collaboratively alongside service users, the Peer Support Worker builds on a person's own narrative, ability, strengths and their links to social and community services. In the role you will work in partnership with multiple agencies in the community. Peer Support Workers engage with mental health service users to show empathy, share experience, inspire hope and promote recovery with the aim of assisting service users to gain and maintain independence in the community. The Peer Support Worker will assist service users in raising aspirations and developing personal goals, co-produce and co-facilitate groups and increasing individual occupational performance and participation. <p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
    <li>We have places available in our projects in both primary and secondary schools nationwide.</li>

<p>*<strong>Counting your hours</strong></p>
<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. However if you need to gain clinical hours for your course, we would strongly advise that you check with your course tutor as to whether child hours are accepted before applying. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.</p>

<p>You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:</p>

    <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
    <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>
