<p>We are looking for a full time Associate Specialist doctor (non-consultant grade) to work in our Medium (MSU) and Low secure (LSU) Forensic Mental Health Services.</p>
<p>Farmfield Hospital is a purpose-built secure hospital which comprises of four MSU ward and two LSU wards for male service users. The hospital is centrally located with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.</p>
<p>Applications are invited for an experienced full-time Associate Specialist doctor to provide medical support to the consultant, and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Secretarial support is provided.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues and other professionals. Good IT skills are essential.</p>

<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Assessment of service users and formulating appropriate management plans within your level of expertise</li>
    <li>Ensuring an adequate handover to colleagues including out of hours.</li>
    <li>Ensuring that each patient has a full physical health screen upon admission including physical examination, ECG and bloods</li>
    <li>Seeking collateral history from other professionals and family.</li>
    <li>Completing discharge letters and reports as required in a timely manner.</li>
    <li>Preparing First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearing reports under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist.</li>
    <li>Depending on your experience, providing oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings under the supervision of the Consultant.</li>
    <li>Chairing ward round and CPA meetings in the absence of the Consultant</li>
    <li>Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching.</li>
    <li>Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times.</li>
    <li>Providing prospective cover to other AS doctors when they are on leave.</li>
    <li>There is no on call requirement for this role.</li>

			<p>Are you an experienced&nbsp;CYPMHS Eating Disorder Consultant Psychiatrist looking an opportunity&nbsp;where you will be part of a supportive and experienced team providing Tier 4 inpatient services to young people with eating disorders?&nbsp;</p>
<p>Join Brighton and Hove Clinic, which is a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 up to 18 years, and you will be providing evidence-based and focused treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.</p>
<p>You will be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Young People Psychiatry with a license to practice with experience of CYPMHS Eating Disorders and leading multidisciplinary teams.</p>

  <p>We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative qualified Children and Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join Lambeth Child &amp; Adolescent Mental Heath Services (CAMHS).</p>
<p>This CWP role supports the government's priority of increasing access to and availability of mental health and well-being support for children and young people. The post holder will demonstrate an active interest in early intervention, clinical work in community settings, collaborative practice and be skilled in delivering low intensity interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team in Lambeth provides support for mild to moderate difficulties using evidence based guided self-help interventions to both parents and young people. This is an exciting time for the team as we are expanding and developing new ways of working, with a focus on developing links within the community. In addition to the low intensity face to face manualised interventions, the post holder will provide psycho education, specific groups and signposting of more complex cases. The team are also embedded within the wider Lambeth CAMHS service and CWP members have the opportunity to join meetings, reflective practice groups and clinical skills training with staff across Lambeth CAMHS.</p> <p>The Child and Youth Wellbeing Team consists of clinical service leads (job share), a CBT Therapist, a Recruit to Train Trainee CBT Therapist, 3 qualified CWPs and 2 Trainee CWPs. The team is part of a friendly and nurturing local CAMHS team, where there are good training opportunities with a supportive leadership team. Lambeth CAMHS has good links to local social care, education, and voluntary services as well as National and Specialist CAMHS and our teaching and research colleagues within KCL. Lambeth is an inner city, ethnically diverse community and applicants will have an interest in and understanding of diversity issues and how they link to mental health in children and young people.</p>

Health Care Support Worker: Canadian Wing

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This role requires you to use your lived experience of mental health conditions, which enables you to work with service users differently and foster a sense of "I've been there" connection.</p> <p>We are looking to recruit a peer support worker to join our Community Rehabilitation Service (CRS) in Brighton and Hove. We are a supportive, well-resourced and staffed team located across Brighton General Hospital and Millview Hospital, which is well served by public transport, as is the whole city. We have use of a pool car, or bus passes for staff to use on visits. Brighton is a vibrant, inclusive city with much to offer those who work here. We are open to discussing flexible working requirements to ensure we best support the recruitment and retention of our staff and will always try to support a positive work/life balance</p> <p>As a Peer Support Worker, you will be using your lived experience of mental health to work alongside individuals to understand their experiences and to maximise their strengths, resources and skills. You will help run peer led groups and link with resources in the third sector and community.</p>  <p>The job is for 15 hours per week/two days (working pattern can be negotiated/discussed).</p>  <p>This job will be open to band 4 workers. Band 4 workers will need to have a recognised peer support qualification as well as significant experience working with service users with mental health needs. </p>  <p>This vacancy is only open to applicants who have lived experience of mental health conditions, I.E you have a mental health diagnosis of your own which enables you to work with service users differently and foster a sense of "I've been there" connection</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The CRS is a specialist mental health team working with service users with a primary diagnosis of psychosis who have complex needs including drug and alcohol misuse. Service users under CRS require an intensive level of support to ensure their recovery; some have a history of difficulty forming relationships with mental health services/professionals and may have had multiple admissions to hospital. You will work in partnership with a diverse team of clinicians and support staff including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurses and our third sector partners. </p> <p>In line with our Trust value of 'People First', evidence shows that people who are treated in community and in the least restrictive manner, have better outcomes. In this role you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, to help us provide this opportunity for our service users in line with national agendas of The Getting It Right First Time a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health, maximising an individual's quality of life and social inclusion.</p> <p>You will be working under the guidance of a qualified professional in the team and there will mentoring and support available from more experienced peer workers within the Trust. Full training and induction will be provided as well as supervision. </p>
