<p>We are looking for a full time Associate Specialist doctor (non-consultant grade) to work in our Medium (MSU) and Low secure (LSU) Forensic Mental Health Services.</p>
<p>Farmfield Hospital is a purpose-built secure hospital which comprises of four MSU ward and two LSU wards for male service users. The hospital is centrally located with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.</p>
<p>Applications are invited for an experienced full-time Associate Specialist doctor to provide medical support to the consultant, and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Secretarial support is provided.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues and other professionals. Good IT skills are essential.</p>

<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times.</li>
    <li>Providing prospective cover to other AS doctors when they are on leave.</li>

We are a passionate multidisciplinary team delivering NICE recommended treatments aiming to provide the best possible care to adults living with eating disorders.</p> <p><strong></strong>Previous experience of working in an eating disorder service is desirable but not necessary, as we offer considerable in-house and external training opportunities (including CBT-T, CBT-E and MANTRA). The post will be supervised by a senior psychological therapist within the team.</p> <p>Covering the whole of Sussex, SEDS provides specialist eating disorder services across a large geographical area.There may be a requirement to travel across the area dependent on service demand.   <p></p><p>We are excited to be recruiting a clinical or counselling psychologist based in Tier 4 Aquarius general adolescent unit, based at Springfield University Hospital working with young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have regular opportunities for CPD and training.</p> <p>Aquarius ward offers a service for 12- to 17-year-olds experiencing a range of significant and multiple mental health difficulties requiring inpatient treatment. This post will be based within the Aquarius MDT, with strong links with the Adolescent Outreach Team. We are able to offer this role as a full time or part time position.</p> <p>Please note candidates need to be qualified clinical/counselling psychologists (or about to qualify) and registered with the Health &amp; Care Professions Council or clearly state in their application how they are planning to achieve this registration.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>We will also consider applications from newly qualified and recently qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologists eligible to occupy the post at band 7 in a preceptorship role. An applicant appointed to the band 7 preceptorship role will be supported through a preceptorship model that includes a professional and clinical development plan for continuing professional development training. A Preceptorship Clinical/Counselling Psychologist will be supported to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience that meet the person specifications for the post at band 8a after a period of 18 months. Where these conditions are met the post holder will be expected to progress to band 8a subject to successful interview.</p> <p>At Band 8a, there will be opportunities to attend supervision skills training, and supervise doctoral clinical psychology trainees, through strong links with the University of Surrey Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) Training Scheme</p> <p>Ideally the post holder will have experience of working within a specialist inpatient CAMHS service.
