  <p>Dorset Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHSTs) are seeking a Trainee Senior Wellbeing Practitioner/Trainee Supervisor (Band 6) for our team based in the North &amp; East Dorset area. You will be required to attend Exeter University to complete the training for this post from January 2025 on a part time basis over two years.</p> <p>The Mental Health Support Teams work with children and young people (and their families) who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health needs, within education settings.</p> <p>We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior wellbeing and supervising practitioner who is passionate about children's mental health. You will have experience of supervising/supporting clinicians, and have a qualification in delivering Low Intensity CBT interventions, either with children and young people or with adults.</p> <p>You will be wishing to enhance your clinical skills to be able to work alongside children and young people with differing presentations, whilst providing support to the team, and wider professional network, to develop skills and knowledge base.</p> <p>You will be joining an established, creative, supportive team of professionals and be supported yourself during your training and beyond to practice safely, ethically, creatively, and curiously.</p> <p><strong>Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role will help to oversee the delivery of the clinical work undertaken by the Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) within the team, both those in training and those who are already qualified, ensuring that Low Intensity CBT interventions are used effectively to support children and young people's mental wellbeing. You will provide clinical supervision and leadership to more junior colleagues and will be involved with developing clinical operational processes. The team also works with education settings to help them to implement a whole school approach to good emotional wellbeing. This can include for example consultation, training and small and large group work to promote good emotional health for all. </p> <p>You will also be expected to hold a clinical caseload and to use your newly learnt knowledge to deliver short term evidence based interventions to children, families and young people whose needs are more complex in nature.</p> <p><strong>Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.</strong></p>

Community mental health services have recently undergone transformation to support the national priority of increasing access to psychologically informed care and reducing inequality.</p> <p>We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist with a can-do attitude, to become part of the therapy team in Working Age Adult Community Services with opportunities to work across Primary, Secondary &amp; Specialist services. The role will be varied with a strong emphasis on group work models including DBT, CNT &amp; CFT. Previous knowledge of and or experience of facilitating groups will be an advantage.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated individual to join Springbank Ward as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.</p>
<p>Springbank Ward is an award-winning service which provides inpatient treatment to women with a diagnosis of EUPD/Complex Emotional Needs. We take an innovative and least-restrictive approach as we support service-users to return to the community after frequently spending a lengthy amount of time in other inpatient settings. Our service-users typically complete a 12-month programme involving both DBT and a wider therapeutic activity and group programme. As the only NHS inpatient unit of its kind, our service-users come from across the country.</p>
<p>As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, your role will be to work with the Occupational Therapist to support service-users on Springbank Ward to improve in their overall functioning, engaging in a holistic approach with a focus on engagement in meaningful activity.</p>

<p>Post holders will work in the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Talking Therapies Service and provide high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to service users who have a range of complex anxiety and depression related problems. The role will include providing specialist CBT assessment and therapy, offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues, work to NICE recommendations and within British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) professional guidelines.</p>
<p>Post holders will have a Post Graduate Masters level qualification (or be newly qualifying) in Psychological Therapies Practice (High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or equivalent, significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competencies required, BABCP accreditation or eligibility for BABCP accreditation.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>The post holder will provide high intensity interventions primarily cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).</li>
<li>Contribute to the teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff working within the service.</li>
<li>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity, in easily understood language.</li>
<li>Ensure that patient and employee information is kept accurate, confidential and secure at all times, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and Security and Confidentiality Policies.</li>
</ul>
<p>Interested parties should be aware that, whilst working patterns will be flexible and include some remote working, there will be a preference for the successful applicants to be physically based within team bases in Cornwall for at least some of the week.</p>

    <p>We are looking for casual members of staff to work shifts as and when required by the service. More information on hours will be given at the interview. Commitment to work flexible and unsocial hours including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins (as required), is essential.

About the Role

Chy is a residential rehabilitation unit in Truro, providing drug, alcohol and mental health treatment services to some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We have an 18-bed main property and a further 8 beds in a block of flats on the grounds that are used as 'move on' accommodation for those with more specific therapeutic needs. Chy welcomes people from all over the UK who wish to heal, grow and make changes to their lives. Many of the people who come to us have experienced multiple traumas and are living with acute mental health support needs. This is an exciting time to join the team following a year of developments and improvements to the services offered.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working or volunteering with substance misuse clients ideally in a residential setting.
