The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 9-5 Monday to Friday however there is an expectation that there is flexibility to cover the out of hours shifts when required.</p> <p>The post holder will need to be able to travel around the county, to offer interventions to patients and carers. The area is quite rural with limited public transport, so access to transport is essential.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>Working within the treatment function of the AMHT you will co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.</li>  <li>You will work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support.</li>  <li>You will have experience of providing community mental health care and able to assess and plan treatment with service users. You will also be able to assess and manage risk, including use of Safeguarding processes.</li>  <li>There are opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions. The MDT consists of medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs and support workers, as well as embedded workers from the third sector to support with employment, housing and social needs. </li> </ul>

Community Mental Health Practitioner

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Oxleas are seeking to recruit a clinically skilled, innovative and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to provide clinical and professional leadership across our Intensive Case Management for Psychosis (ICMP), Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP), and Community Mental Health Rehabilitation and Enablement Service (CMHRES) Teams, in the London Brough of Bexley based in Erith. Bexley ICMP is a multi-disciplinary mental health team working within the psychosis pathway within a secondary care community mental health setting.</p> <p>The post holder will work alongside another Principal Psychologist, and Consultant Clinical Psychologist in taking a locality leading role in managing the provision of psychological therapy in the team and join the team manager and consultant psychiatrist in forming the senior clinical team to provide clinical leadership to the ICMP team.</p> <p>The post would be suitable to current 8A's (with at least 3.5 years post qualified experience) or 8B's with relevant experience and transferable skills who have a specialist interest in psychosis.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>A central component of the post will be taking an operational leadership role in further developing the role and remit of psychological therapy in the service. This would encompass support and oversight of referral screening as well as waiting list management, supervision and consultation to the wider team. Service development and innovation are embraced and 3rd sector working, training and working across service transitions would all form aspects of the leadership part of the role.</p> <p>The post will also ensure clinical time for the provision of highly specialised psychological therapy. Specialist training in a particular modality, as well as supervisory training in these, will be highly desirable eg CBTp, FiP, EMDR.</p> <p>The ICMP psychology team is comprised of a band 4 Assistant Psychologist, band 7 and 8a psychological therapists, as well as input from an Art Psychotherapist and Family Therapist, and a borough wide service lead Consultant Psychologist. Doctoral trainee and honorary placement supervision are also encouraged and the services maintain close links with the Salomons DClinPsy Doctoral Program. Supervision of the local psychology team and yearly appraisals (PDR) will also form some of the operational tasks of the post. The new incumbent will also join an established group of senior psychological therapists from across the borough. This is an established leadership forum offering peer support, and links to senior management.</p>

  <p><strong>Band 7 Counselling/Clinical Psychologist/ Psychotherapist/ Systemic and Family Therapist: Eating Disorder Therapist</strong> </p><p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Eating Disorder Therapist to join our team. The post holder will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of eating disorder presentations as well as co-morbid mental health conditions to allow for the provision of a holistic care package to the young person. The ideal candidate communicates well, enjoys working with individuals, families and groups and will bring enthusiasm and commitment to the role.</p> <p>They will complete specialist eating disorder assessments and deliver evidence based and NICE concordant interventions for eating disorders to children and young people and their families within our early intervention and specialist therapy pathways. These interventions may be delivered in clinic, community and home settings; to individuals or groups work, holistically with the multi-disciplinary team to support young people and their families with eating disorders and contribute to increasing awareness of the presentation and prevalence of eating disorders. To develop and deliver our early intervention support pathway, including consultation, psycho education, self-help materials working closely with our assistant psychologist.</p> <p>We are looking for a someone, who combines experience with working with young people and families with a special interest in eating disorders.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To complete specialist eating disorder assessments within the Community Eating Disorder Service for Children &amp; Young People (CEDS-CYP).</p>
<p>To act as the duty clinician on the rota of duty clinicians managing referrals and providing a rapid response to urgent clinical situations. </p>
<p>To be involved in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and young people with eating disorders in the community, to liaise closely with other health care professionals to ensure a consistent approach.</p>
<p>To provide specialist therapeutic interventions as part of individualised treatment plans based on psychotherapeutic principles which are grounded in evidence based practice and NICE - concordant interventions for eating disorders.</p>
<p>To develop and deliver our early intervention support pathway, including consultation, psychoeducation, self-help materials working closely with our assistant psychologist.</p>
<p>Care coordinate a substantial caseload of assessment, treatment and consultation work, identifying priorities of action in complex circumstances.</p>
<p>To utilise specialist skills in managing and communicating with patients, their families, carers and other agencies in situations that are sensitive, highly complex and may be emotionally distressing.</p>
<p>To evaluate and monitor clinical risk which will include physical and psychiatric risk for appropriate interventions to jointly manage risk and to inform other agencies as appropriate.</p>

  <p>In partnership with Derby University, 4 successful candidates will be offered a full-time educational programme, funded at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 4 level, gaining credits towards a Post-Graduate Diploma qualification, plus employment on successful completion of training, with a starting salary projected to be on the NHS Band 5 scale. These posts will cover the Seisdon area and be based within Seisdon.</p>  <p>All applicants must demonstrate in their application the ability to work at degree level or have an equivalent level of relevant experience, with a proven record of previous learning or formal study in child development, wellbeing or mental health. <li>You will be trained to assess and support children and young people (C&amp;YP) with common mental health difficulties, particularly mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety, depression and behavioural difficulties.</li>
<li>You will offer a range of low intensity interventions, 1-1 or in groups, primarily in a school or college setting that are based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and guided self-help.</li>
<li>You will also have the opportunity to develop whole school approaches in collaboration with educational staff and through co-production with children, young people and carers. This focuses on promotion of mental health and wellbeing through delivery of group interventions, assemblies etc.</li>
<li>The training programme for this post starts in January 2026, is 12 months in duration and will consist of academic and supervised practice. As a trainee you will spend part of your week studying at Derby University and part of your week in service consolidating your learning into practice and developing relationships with schools.</li>
<li>Delivery of the taught programme will be provided through a combination of taught days at Derby University, independent self-guided study days and clinical experience gained in school settings and within the Mental Health Support Team.</li>

<p>Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly recognise the importance of Mental Health Services for our community. Supporting and developing our therapists is very important to us and we provide comprehensive and regular CPD and training opportunities.</p>
<p>Post holders will work in the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Talking Therapies Service and provide high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to service users who have a range of complex anxiety and depression related problems. The role will include providing specialist CBT assessment and therapy, offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues, work to NICE recommendations and within British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) professional guidelines.</p>
<p>Post holders will have a Post Graduate Masters level qualification (or be newly qualifying) in Psychological Therapies Practice (High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or equivalent, significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competencies required, BABCP accreditation or eligibility for BABCP accreditation.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>The post holder will provide high intensity interventions primarily cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).</li>
<li>Contribute to the teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff working within the service.</li>
<li>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity, in easily understood language.</li>
<li>Ensure that patient and employee information is kept accurate, confidential and secure at all times, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and Security and Confidentiality Policies.</li>
</ul>
<p>Interested parties should be aware that, whilst working patterns will be flexible and include some remote working, there will be a preference for the successful applicants to be physically based within team bases in Cornwall for at least some of the week.</p>
<p>A generous relocation package could be negotiated if relocating to the county that offers temporary remote working during the relocation process.</p>
