Qualified Psychologist - Clinical/Counselling/Forensic

<h2>Job summary</h2>
   <p>The post-holder will be a qualified fully registered HCPC Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with a passion for working in this area. As part of the QNIC recommended structure for inpatient CYP units, we are recruiting for these psychology posts into our Kent &amp; Medway Adolescent Hospital MDT. The post holder will work very closely with Children and Young People's Mental Health Services across inpatient and community in Kent NELFT, the Kent and Sussex provider collaborative and other stakeholders. The post holder will work very closely with the Kent NELFT Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service who offer specialist DBT assessments and interventions to YP and their families who are referred.</p>  <p>The post holder will be part of the ward MDT as well as linking with the Intensive Home Treatment team to ensure a smooth pathway for CYP between inpatient and community flow. The post holder will facilitate the therapeutic component of the ward programme with the MDT to ensure the clinical model is delivered with senior members of the Psychological Professions team.</p>  <p>The postholder will join a thriving psychological professions team across comprehensive CAMHS (inpatient and community). We have strong links with our local psychology training institute and on-going NHSE training for workforce expansion and upskilling. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>o To provide an efficient, effective, comprehensive and specialist psychological service for children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents, and families.</p> <p>o Where appropriate to supervise assistant psychologists and trainees across the services.</p> <p>o To contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents, and families.</p> <p>o To undertake a range of clinical work, assessment work and parenting support.</p> <p>o To contribute to audit and research.</p> <p>o To actively engage in treatment and outcome monitoring, including the use of normed measures associated with CYP-IAPT.</p> <p>o To work in clinical practice, making use of supervision, within the overall framework CYPMHS and the Trust's policies and procedures.</p>

  <p>As a Senior Clinician you will be mentoring and/or supervising the development of EMHPs in your team, building a culture of high-quality clinical practice. You will grow and nurture trainees and newly qualified EMHPs, utilising your experience and skills to ensure they develop into well rounded clinicians.</p>
<p>You will take the lead in building relationships with senior leaders in schools, providing regular case consultation, support and advice, and being a 'link' to the wider children's mental health services. Together with the Clinical Lead and educational psychologists, you will develop programmes of work to support schools with their whole school approach goals, enabling more sustainable, holistic change. Finally, you will hold a small caseload, delivering direct interventions to CYP and families.</p>
<p>We are looking to build a multi-disciplinary team whose strength comes from the variety of skills and experience brought by each team member.   <p><strong>Are you an autonomous registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new role in West Oxfordshire?</strong></p> <p><strong>Do you have experience of working in mental health services and understand the challenges that the Adult care group can bring?</strong></p> <p>North and West AMHT have an opportunity for a Band 6 RMN to become part of a well established Multi disciplinary Team on a full time basis.</p> <p>The service has a new leadership team structure, with new team leaders in place leading to an improved culture and team. The role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop and broaden their leadership skills - mentoring, supervising, and developing the careers and skills of others, as well as yourself.</p> <p>The MDT consists of medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs and support workers, as well as embedded workers from the third sector to support with employment, housing and social needs. The team is highly supportive and committed to delivering high quality patient care; where the caseload can be demanding, diverse and frequently complex.</p> <p>We care deeply about our patients and their loved ones and believe in listening and responding as a team; piloting new models, supporting each other and developing and using new care approaches. We aim to improve patient care as well as provide increase staff satisfaction and sense of achievement.</p> <p>You <em><strong>will </strong></em>need to be able to travel around the county, to offer interventions to patients and carers, so access to transport is essential.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Working within the treatment function of the AMHT you will co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.</li>
<li>You will work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support.</li>

<p>Our AMHT provide an assessment and treatment function and the staff working within the team work on a rota covering shifts from 07.00 to 21.00 (7 days/week).   <p>This is a Band 8b to Band 8c developmental post.</p>  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist to join our Older Adult Inpatient Psychology team in North Cumbria, working within a multi-disciplinary team including Approved clinician, and an Assistant Psychologist.The post will work into our two older adult wards.Ruskin is our ward for people with organic problems including dementia providing assessment and treatment by a multi-disciplinary health and social care team. The ward supports service users and their families with a range of different treatments and therapies. Oakwood is our ward for older people with mental health problems arising from functional disorders such as depression, anxiety or psychosis. Clinically you will work on both Ruskin and Oakwood wards and be part of the ward leadership team. You will also be responsible for providing advice, consultation, and training to colleagues on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care, and treatment.</p>  <p>You will undertake the UNN Approved Clinician training and be given support to access appropriate cases and supervision.</p>  <p>On completion of the Approved clinician training, you will have an agreed job plan which combines the Consultant Clinical Psychologist post with Approved clinician responsibilities in an agreed job plan.</p>  <p>You will also be part of the wider Older People's Psychological Service in North Cumbria which consists of Clinical Psychologists, a CBT Therapist and Assistant Psychologists. a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at our forensic mental health hospital, Heatherwood
Court. Comprising of a Locked Rehabilitation Service (1 female ward) and a Low
Secure Service (1 male and 2 female wards), Heatherwood Court treats patients with
complex needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma,
and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. </p><p>We are looking for applicants with
experience of working with service users with complex needs and risk behaviours
along with those who have an interest and prior experience of delivering
evidenced-based interventions for people with personality disorder and/or
complex mental health problems. We are particularly interested in candidates
who have received DBT training, but would offer training to suitable candidates
on appointment.</p><p>This post will join an established, dynamic
team of psychologists including a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, , Forensic Psychologist and
Assistant Psychologists, working as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary
team. The team are also supported by Positive Practice Workers, graduate
