Particular professional development would see the candidate gaining distinct experience in working with acute distress and eating disorders, allowing for the possibility of specialism.</p>

  <p>As a member of a specialist Psychological Therapies team, you will work closely with colleagues in our CMHT and in-patient teams as well as the newly develop Primary Care Community Mental Health Hubs. You will also liaise with and support psychological therapists working at earlier steps in the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway. You will work with the Clinical Lead, Locality Leads, Team Manager and your team to ensure that the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway achieves its key objectives of delivering integrated, safe, accessible, responsive, effective and caring services to people in Buckinghamshire.</p> <p>You will provide psychological assessments and interventions for adults with severe and/or complex mental health problems, their families and carers. You will provide supervision and management support to other psychological therapists and consultation and guidance to our colleagues in the CMHT. You will have excellent communication skills and will participate in multidisciplinary risk assessment, formulation and care planning. You should be able to demonstrate your experience, skills and qualifications in evidence-based approaches in specialist adult mental health settings, this may include for example CBT or third wave approaches / Schema Therapy / EMDR / DBT / MBT / CAT.   <p>Since launching in 2009, Hammersmith &amp; Fulham has become a well-established successful NHS Talking Therapies service. We are looking to recruit a Lead PWP into an established role to offer continued support for the PWP in delivering high quality and accessible care to adults in the borough. The post attracts inner London weighting and is ideal for a PWP with significant consolidated post qualification experience, who has ideally held the position of Senior PWP and is keen to develop leadership skills. It's a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate and develop skills in service development, line management and the development of the PWP profession. </p> <p>We are particularly looking for applicants interested in developing a career within the PWP profession. We are looking for a candidate who can offer long term commitment to the role to support their development and to adequately offer long term support to those they line manage and supervise. We would ask applicants wanting to seek further clinical training in the next 2+ years to carefully consider applying for this role and if they can offer the commitment, training and development it requires. </p> <p>H&amp;F Talking Therapies offers career progression for PWPs into band 8a roles and beyond, offering a unique opportunity for PWPs wanting to stay in the profession to progress their careers in management and leadership roles..</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Lead PWP will hold a small clinical case load, provide supervision and line management to the PWP team and share responsibility for the operational running of the service with the other Step 2 lead clinicians. They will be required to work one evening session (12pm-8pm Monday to Thursday). The role will be varied, thus supporting the post holder to develop assessment, treatment, supervision, line management, leadership and project management skills. </p> <p>You will need experience of risk management and assessment, formulation and treatment of Talking Therapies appropriate disorders within a PWP framework and have some supervision and line management experience. We are keen to fill gaps in experience though, through our comprehensive CPD and supervision programme, and we offer ongoing support via debrief and senior duty at all times.</p>
