  <p>The post is 0.5wte Senior Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist for Longview Ward which is the female acute ward at Hopewood Park. The post will be part of the wider MDT working with service users on Longview Ward.</p>
<p>We are delighted to be offering a Band 8a Clinical Psychology post within our Adult Inpatients Service based at Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland and are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists or Psychological Therapists to provide specialist psychological input on our wards. Previous experience of working in an inpatient setting either pre/during or post clinical psychology training is desirable but not essential.</p>
<p>There are three acute adult inpatient wards at Hopewood Park, two male and one female, Each has the provision of a 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours) Psychologist, supported by a 0.5 WTE Higher Assistant Psychologist. There is an 8c Consultant Psychologist post across all the 3 acute wards.</p>
<p>Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services provide multi-disciplinary care using a biopsychosocial model for service users over the age of 18. The acute service provides care for service users with acute mental health needs who require assessment and treatment in hospital. Service users admitted to hospital are often highly complex and have a range of experiences and difficulties including neurodiversity, psychosis, personality difficulties and learning difficulties, risk to self and others, forensic issues and behaviours that challenge.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post involves providing expertise in applying specialist psychological assessment, including cognitive assessments, collaborative formulation and interventions with service users and working with multi-disciplinary teams to embed formulation and trauma informed care. This includes individual and group based work and involvement of families and carers. It will involve supporting multidisciplinary staff working with service users through supervision, team formulation, contributing to understanding complex risk, developing behaviour support plans and providing reflective practice sessions and training to the teams. The role may also involve research, service evaluation and audit. You will be supported to develop your skills in these areas and in addition all of the wards have Higher Assistant Psychologist time and this provides opportunities for the development of skills in supervision.</p>

Remote ADHD Psychologist

  <p>Clinical or Forensic Psychologist - Band 7 -(Full Time)</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services for people with Intellectual Disabilities at Brooklands Hospital. The secure services consist of an LD male medium secure and a male and female low secure service and an autism only male low secure service.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible.   <p>B8a Clinical Psychologist 12 month maternity leave cover</p> <p>We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Family Eating Disorder Service (SFEDS) based at Aldrington House Hove. SFEDS works with young people aged 10-18 with an eating disorder and their families across Sussex, and supports recovery through evidenced based interventions such as the Maudsley Family Therapy models and E-CBT. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality evidenced based treatment in accordance with NICE Guidelines and National Access and Waiting Times Standards.</p> <p>You will be joining a service of highly skilled and experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapists, Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychology and Assistant Psychologists, Nurses, Dietitian, Support Workers and OTs.</p> <p>You will work as a member of the clinical service/team, providing a high quality, specialist applied psychology service to clients, their families or carers. In addition, to support psychological practice within the team through consultation, supervision, formulation and training.</p> <p>You will participate in systematic clinical governance and to offer clinical supervision to assistant, trainee and more junior psychologists and other staff. To utilise research skills for audit, service development and research within the area served by the team/service.</p> <p>We offer and support hybrid and flexible working, we require staff to be on site for 60% of their working week.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p> To provide a qualified, high-quality specialist psychology service.</p> <p> To be responsible for holding and managing a clinical caseload and to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the planning and prioritising of own workload.</p> <p> To use analytical and judgment skills and be responsible for taking clinical management decisions in complex clinical issues.</p> <p> To clinically supervise assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists and junior psychologists, psychological therapists or counsellors and other staff as appropriate.</p> <p> To professionally supervise and, when appropriate, manage, assistant psychologists and trainee psychologists</p> <p> To complete assessments of those referred to the service and outcome this in a timely manner in line with code of Conduct</p> <p> To provide consultation, mentorship, supervision as appropriate.</p> <p> To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team.</p> <p> To contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the team's operational policies and services.</p> <p> To utilise research skills to undertake service evaluation, audit and research as appropriate and disseminate the results in the service and nationally.</p>
