Consultant Clinical Psychologist Youth Service (18 - 25 year olds)

  <p>The post could be offered as a 30 hours per week or Job share depending on applicants and we may be able to offer full time hours for the right candidate.</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic highly skilled and experienced practitioner psychologist to join our mental health services focusing on working with adults with psychosis. This is an exciting time to be joining the Trust as we are looking at improving our services for people experiencing psychosis and bipolar disorder and expanding the psychological provision in our teams.</p> <p>Working across a number of community teams you will provide expertise in both direct clinical work and leadership/supervision of teams in psychological approaches to care.</p> <p>This is a key clinical leadership role, working within teams and responsible for continuing to drive and embed the significant work already undertaken to develop services for people with psychosis across Gloucestershire.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for providing highly-specialist advice and consultancy to staff, teams, and patients with direct responsibility for the provision of psychological services within the teams, including supervision of assistants and trainees. They will also have a key role to play in service development and quality improvement across care pathways.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role covers teams based in Gloucester, Cheltenham and across the county. All reasonable flexible working requests will be considered, but the post holder will be expected to work across sites in line with service need.</p> <p>Our specialist mental health services work with adults with severe mental health problems. About 60% of the people we work with have experienced psychosis, and we aim to provide psychologically and trauma informed care and evidence based interventions including CBT-P and Family Therapy.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <p>Work as part of MDT's providing specialist psychological formulation, assessment and direct care.</p> <p>Provide supervision, reflective practice and consultation/advice to colleagues and teams,</p> <p>Contribute to quality improvement and service development, including research and development activities such as teaching.</p> <p>Leading workstreams on psychological approaches to care, and specifically working as a part of our developing psychosis pathways</p> <p>Line manage, supervise and support other psychological professionals, assistants and trainees.</p> <p><strong>The qualification, training &amp; experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.</strong></p>

  <p>We are seeking an experienced Forensic Psychologist / Clinical Lead to join our dynamic Forensic Team within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.   <p>Were looking for a PWP or Low Intensity Psychological Worker who will support survivors and their loved ones with evidence-based low intensity interventions.</p><p>Youll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, and assisting with volunteers. You will work closely with our Community Development and Criminal Justice Services Practitioners to ensure survivors have access to proper support. Do you thrive in multi-disciplinary settings where psychological skills are highly valued?</p> <p>Working in a very friendly and dynamic CAMHS Service, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist based mainly in ourChesterfield Core CAMHS Base following the successful CAMHS Service submission for funding - we have a focused investment from the ICB (integrated Care Board) into routine CAMHS specifically for Reducing CAMHS waiting times as part of a Service Development Improvement Plan 2025 -2027. We are happy to consider flexible options. There are opportunities for indirect working (e.g. consultation, supporting formulation skills development).</p> <p>Our Service has 10 teams with excellent track records working closely together, with opportunities for gaining different experiences to develop your portfolio. Our internal training programme for staff is positively-rated and clinical supervision practice is highly valued. We value the diversity of our clinicians, and the skill sets they bring.</p> <p>Whilst this is an 8a post we are very happy to receive applications from soon to be or newly qualified Clinical Psychologists in a preceptorship role (with a structured development plan to progress with regular support).   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Clinical Psychologist in Core CAMHS you will:</p> <ul>  <li> Provide specialist psychological/therapy-based assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties</li>  <li> Provide a pivotal lead role in reducing waiting lists ('Referral to Treatment' (RTT) times) for Routine Core through indirect consultation and formulation skills offers to Core Mental Health Practitioners and providing direct joint-clinical work at referral, initial assessment and therapeutic intervention stages, where appropriate.</li>  <li> Be client-centred and a goal-focused member of our multi-disciplinary service, championing ROMs and contributing to service developments, as appropriate.</li>  <li> Empower and support young people on their journey to recovery</li>  <li> Offer clinical advice and support, consultations, supervision and training for professionals in our CAMHS Service.</li>  <li> Be an active member of an experienced multi-disciplinary service and contribute to team and service developments.</li>  <li> Contribute to case discussions and a 'careteam' approach to formulation.</li> </ul>

  <p><strong>Band 8a full time post, with Band 7 - 8a preceptorship opportunities available</strong></p> <p>This post offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic psychologist within the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Community Learning Disability Team, part of the wider North Yorkshire, York &amp; Selby Learning Disability Service.</p> <p>We are seeking to appoint a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who is passionate about working with people with learning disabilities. The vacancy is open to an existing Band 8A psychologist or a Band 7psychologist wishing to progress in their career. We will also consider offering a preceptorship option for a newly or recently qualified clinical or counselling psychologist who may not yet meet the essential criteria; to progress from a band 7 into the band 8a position. </p> <p>The post offers many excitingdevelopmental and creative opportunities.</p> <p>The post holder will have a key role in providing psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to service users, their families, carers, and staff teams. This may be through direct therapeutic support using various adapted psychological approaches or indirect work with a service user's support system using psychologically informed thinking.</p> <p>An additional element to this role is offering neuropsychological assessments to service users, alongside reflective practice, consultation, and supervision. An interest in working with Trauma Informed Care approaches would be welcomed.</p>

  <p>Applicants should ideally have experience in working within Learning Disability services and show strong patient-centred values. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent health care and evidence-based practice. You will be working alongside a supportive team and opportunities to develop special interests and co-work will be encouraged.</p> <p>In addition, the post holder will have a valued role in the team's collective leadership group, alongside opportunities for research and service development.Our service has strong links with the Doctoral Clinical and Counselling Psychology Programmes at Teesside, Hull, and York St Johns Universities. The post holder will be involved in offering trainee placements and University teaching. There are excellent opportunities for peer support/ supervision, CPD, training, research, and audit withinthe wider trust and psychological professions network.</p> <p>We are very keen to support practitioners obtain further professional training with relevance to the service (e.g., EMDR; Flash; CBT; CAT; PBS; Systemic Family Therapy, etc). You will be working in an area of natural beauty across the North Yorkshire coast and North York Moors.   <p>We are looking for a compassionate psychologist (clinical/ forensic) to join us at Ridgeway in our Secure Inpatient Psychology Service TEWV NHS Trust. It is a Fixed Term 12month post to cover maternity leave. Experience working with a Learning Disability population is preferrable.</p> <p>The post would suit an enthusiastic Psychologist, valuing the opportunity to work collaboratively with members of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, where psychology is a core treatment offer. A key part of this role will be using clinical leadership skills to influence teams to embed formulations, psychological understanding and psychosocial interventions in everyday practice.</p> <p>As a service, we are keen to support and invest in the ongoing development of our Psychologists through CPD opportunities, so an interest in developing clinical skills across a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches is essential. The Psychologist would have the opportunity to gain experience working with a diverse population that includes male and female mental health, learning disability, autism and older adults, including those who may have experienced trauma and/ or neurological difficulties.</p>
