  <p>The main duties of the job are to provide consultation, formulation, assessment and psychological intervention to service users and carers within a CMHT context. You will provide DBT and other evidence-based individual and group interventions and help the broader team deliver psychologically informed interventions and provide training to support this.</p>

  <p>We have two North CMHTs, based at the Peddars Centre at Hellesdon Hospital. There is a positive culture around formulation led and trauma-informed care and we provide a broad range of NICE-endorsed therapeutic approaches. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in an 8a role as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist within our Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS, formerly known as CAMHS) multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering a high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and their families in the East of Hertfordshire, which our three bases, Welwyn Garden City, Hoddesdon and Bishop Stortford.</p>  <p>You will have HCPC registration and provide a highly specialist child and adolescent service within the context of the principles of CAPA (The Choice and Partnership Approach) and CYP-IAPT, providing both core work and specific/specialist work. HPFT has been at the forefront on national developments in CYPMHS, including CAPA and CYP-IAPT,</p>  <p>CYPMHS East is a caring, supportive and hard-working team which prides itself in working in collaboratively with young people and stakeholders in service delivery. There are opportunities to take a lead in areas of service delivery.</p>  <p>You will have strong links with professional colleagues in the wider CYPMHS. In addition to the inpatient unit, our CYPMHS includes a Tier 4 Home Treatment Team, four community clinic Tier 3 teams, a Targeted Team for looked after children, a specialist Eating Disorder Team, a Crisis Team and a DBT team.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of complex assessment, treatment and consultation work with children and their families/carers/networks who have mental health issues. They will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing interventions in line with the principles and practice of CYP-IAPT. They will work in ways which are sensitive to and appropriate for the needs of families from a wide range of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds. They will undertake risk assessment and risk management for all children and adolescents, including the protective and risk factors in the network of significant relationships.</p>
<p>They will act as care coordinator, where appropriate, ensuring provision of a care plan, taking responsibility for initiating, planning and review of the client's care, ensuring the work of others involved and communicating effectively with the child/ the carer/professional as appropriate, monitoring the progress of multi-disciplinary interventions.</p>

  <p>We are excited to advertise a senior post in ELFT forensic directorate's Drug and Alcohol Service. We are looking for an enthusiastic psychological therapist who has experience of working with people with substance use problems and/or experience of working with complex mental health presentations in a community, inpatient, or forensic setting. We are especially keen to hear from applicants who are representative of the diverse population we serve. </p> <p>The post holder will work across two community forensic services, one specialising in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, and the other supporting people leaving mainstream inpatient forensic services. These community teams cover seven East London localities. The post holder will offer specialist assessment and psychosocial intervention to forensic service users with historical or current problems with substance use who are either in the community or approaching discharge from our inpatient services. The post holder will also provide consultation and training to other professionals across the service, and be responsible for the management and clinical oversight of two Drug and Alcohol Service team members working across the community teams.</p> <p>The post holder will be embedded within the forensic directorate's Drug and Alcohol Service, a multidisciplinary, specialist team, with access to rich supervision and CPD opportunities.</p>

    <p>We are looking for someone who has good team working skills, who can work well with different professions/ staff groups and who can adapt to fast paced task oriented settings. You will be able to demonstrate professional respect and integrity while being able to advocate for psychological approaches to care and be able to show tenacity in advocating for service user wellbeing. We are looking for someone with flexibility and ingenuity, good work ethic and ability to adapt quickly as demand changes.</p> <p>You will have experience of working with clients with complex needs and/or people living with dementia, or perhaps some lived experience of either. You will have knowledge and experience of devising and implementing person-centred assessments, formulations and intervention plans, using cognitive-behavioural frameworks. You will have a good communication style which you can adapt to people with differing communication abilities. You will be able to work autonomously for significant parts of the working day, but adhere to an agreed work plan and be aware of the extent of your current competency skills and be able to show that you do not work beyond this. The successful candidate will hold a good honours degree in Psychology with BPS graduate basis for registration, and be interested in pursuing a career in a related area.</p> <p>Employment in this post will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure &amp; Barring Service.</p>
