  <p>Cancer Psychological Therapies are excited to recruit a psychological professional with a strong interest in working psychologically with people diagnosed with cancer to our small and friendly team. We are a busy service staffed by psychological professionals enthusiastic about and committed to providing high-quality and compassionate psychological care to patients diagnosed with cancer within Queens Hospital and King George Hospital. We welcome applicants new to working in oncology and are keen to support professional development in this field.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post-holder will be expected to manage an individual caseload of patients with cancer referred to the service, providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions, both for in-patients and out-patients. They will work closely with colleagues in Cancer Psychological Therapies to manage the waiting list, including offering triage assessments and patient workshops, and ensure risk assessment and management plans are up-to-date and adhered to. They will work collaboratively with colleagues in their team, as well as within the wider oncology services and Trusts as part of providing excellent holistic care for patients. They will be supported to develop working relationships other psychological professionals across Clinical Health Psychological Services and North-East London Cancer Alliance. They will need to be able to routinely travel to both Queens Hospital and King George Hospital. They will attend regular supervision and line management as part of their role.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical or Educational Psychologist, Arts, Occupational or Systemic Therapist with a background of working with education settings and/or experience in child and adolescent mental health, to work within a growing multi-disciplinary Mental Health Support in Schools Team (MHST).   <p>At NELFT, we are proud to be the largest provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in England. Our teams deliver evidence-based interventions in schools and colleges for children and young people aged 4-18, while also supporting Whole School Approaches to improve wellbeing across education settings. Working closely with school-based services and linking with CAMHS where needed, MHSTs play a vital role in strengthening mental health support for young people.</p>   <p>We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mental Health Practitioner (SMHP) to join our Mid Essex MHSTs. You will deliver CBT interventions, lead Whole School Approach activities, and support Education Mental Health Practitioners through supervision and guidance. The role also includes developing school networks, delivering staff training, supporting group programmes, and co-producing mental health resources.</p>   <p>Applicants should be CYPMHS clinicians undertaking or having completed CYP-PT CBT or SFP training, or registered professionals with a postgraduate diploma in evidence-based psychological therapies. Strong CBT experience is essential.</p>   <p>You will work closely with schools to embed MHST support, develop materials for interventions, and promote positive mental health across education communities.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will deliver brief, high-quality CBT interventions to children and young people in schools and colleges, conducting assessments, offering early interventions, and measuring outcomes to ensure effective, evidence-based practice. They will also support Whole School Approach activities, including workshops, groups, staff training, and consultation, while promoting early identification of mental health needs.</p>   <p>Working autonomously and in line with professional and Trust standards, the practitioner will plan and deliver care according to NICE guidelines, initiate referrals when needed, and provide clear information and psychoeducation to CYP and families.</p>   <p>The role includes contributing to MHST leadership, supporting team culture, multidisciplinary working, audits, governance, and sharing clinical knowledge. Senior Mental Health Practitioner (SMHP)- Mid Essex

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>A position for a Band 7 Senior Therapist has arisen in our clinic in Medway. This post would suit newly qualified Psychologists or Psychotherapists, or an experienced clinician with a professional qualification such as Nurse or Social Worker with some additional recognised training such as CBT or DBT.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We offer assessment and treatment to children and young people aged 0-18 years with a wide range of presentations, mental health disorders, complexity and risk. You need to have experience working within a CAMHS service and be able to cope with a fast paced, ever changing environment, whilst responding appropriately to the young people and their families.</p>
<p>As a band 7 you will be expected to offer specific clinical supervision to junior staff, consultations to the wider team and provide specialist interventions to our clients.</p>
  <h3>About us</h3>
  <p><strong>Probationary Period</strong></p> <p>This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).</p>  <p><strong>Starting with NELFT</strong></p> <p>NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
