  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The purpose of this post is to improve the mental health and protection of Children and Young People who are known to the Safeguarding Service, either as Children in Need, on Child Protection Plans or Looked after and putting them at the centre of all you do. As a Systemic Psychotherapist in the safeguarding Service for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:</p><ul> <li>Providing systemic consultation and reflective spaces to professionals, particularly our social workers and the team.</li> <li>Undertaking systemic assessments of cases which may be complex in nature in order to formulate, plan and deliver a range of interventions.</li> <li>Delivering systemic psychotherapy treatment to children and families who are open to the safeguarding team, as appropriate.</li> <li>Providing clinical supervision to qualified therapists, as required.</li> <li>Provide systemic work-shops, training sessions to AfC staff.</li></ul>

  <p>The Vincent Square Eating Disorder Service offers specialist services for children and young people who are suffering from eating disorders. The service provides a range of treatments across the existing outpatient service.</p>
<p>We currently have a permanent position for a band 7 Family Therapist to work in the Children and Young People's Eating Disorder Service.</p>
<p>The post holder will work alongside a team of family therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and other disciplines.</p>

The post holder will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of eating disorder presentations as well as co-morbid mental health conditions to allow for the provision of a holistic care package to the young person. <p>To be involved in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and young people with eating disorders in the community, to liaise closely with other health care professionals to ensure a consistent approach.</p>
<p>To provide specialist therapeutic interventions as part of individualised treatment plans based on psychotherapeutic principles which are grounded in evidence based practice and NICE - concordant interventions for eating disorders.</p>
<p>To develop and deliver our early intervention support pathway, including consultation, psychoeducation, self-help materials working closely with our assistant psychologist.</p>
<p>Care coordinate a substantial caseload of assessment, treatment and consultation work, identifying priorities of action in complex circumstances.</p>
<p>To utilise specialist skills in managing and communicating with patients, their families, carers and other agencies in situations that are sensitive, highly complex and may be emotionally distressing.</p>

The successful candidate will join our dynamic Counselling Therapies team and work alongside other therapists who are trained in a number of different modalities including; person-centred, humanistic, integrative, and psychodynamic.   <p>We're looking for a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join our friendly, highly-skilled and enthusiastic community of psychological professions in the Brighton &amp; Hove Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.</p> <p>This is a permanent Band 7 post (WTE 0.9) where you will be working with people with complex mental health problems, their families and carers.</p> <p>We are keen to support your professional development and will support you to undertake additional specialist training relevant to the post, plus the regular CPD opportunities for psychological professionals available in the Trust. There will also be the opportunity for you to have protected time to gain experience in other parts of Brighton community mental health services if this would be of interest.</p> <p>We would like to support you to develop a specialism within your role to build your expertise in an area of interest, such as within trauma, psychosis or complex emotional needs.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To work as a member of the clinical service/ team, providing a high quality, specialist applied psychology service to clients, their families or carers. In addition, to support psychological practice within the team through consultation, supervision, formulation and training and by participating in systematic clinical governance. The practitioner psychologist / psychological therapist will contribute to the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that psychological aspects of patient care and risk management are considered and integrated into treatment plans. To utilise research skills for audit, service development and research within the area served by the team/service.</p>
