<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>

<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.</p>

<p>You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:</p>

    <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
    <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>

  <p>At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, our unique care provides a lifeline of compassion and support to patients, carers, and families facing progressive life-limiting illness.

We provide palliative and end of life care support, including bereavement services, within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and our patient services are available to adults, as well as patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years).</p><p>Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them, as well as throughout the community, in schools and workplaces.

We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individuals needs, whether that is at home, in a care home, in a short stay in our inpatient unit, out in the community, or in our purpose-built Living Well Centre facilities. We are therefore looking for applicants who either have experience in Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) or have a good foundation of transferable skills and an interest to develop in this area.</p> <p>There is a strong sense of camaraderie within the Milton Keynes EIP team, and a strong partnership between operational and clinical staff. There are opportunities to access funded specialist training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for psychosis and family interventions.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Milton Keynes Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service is a multi-disciplinary team providing treatment and support for people who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time, and during the first three years following a first episode of psychosis. The service has a strong focus on providing psychological inventions alongside care-coordination, help, advice and support. The team helps service users make sense of their experiences, provides treatment and interventions to enable them to get back to, or continue to, work or study, whilst liaising with other services and agencies to sort out benefits and finances, and help solve any housing problems.</p> <p>A key part of the role will be acting as liaison and Principal Investigator for research trials (e.g. virtual reality CBT) from different universities.</p> <p>Our staff demonstrate an interest in providing a high level of service for service users and carers as well as an interest in service development. We are looking for motivated and committed clinical or counselling psychologists who are passionate to lead the development of psychological therapies and the therapy pathways within our service.</p> <p>Where the applicant will be newly qualified on appointment they will join a number of other recent recruits in Milton Keynes and undergo a well- established, thorough preceptorship programme ensuring they are equipped with the competencies required of an 8a post holder before they progress.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, and patient-focused Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographers to join our friendly radiology team. This post would suit a newly-qualified radiographer or a third year student about to qualify.</p>
<p>The Hillingdon Hospital Radiology Department is undergoing a transformation with the procurement of new equipment. We have recently added a new GE EVO CT scanner, brand new OPG machine with cone beam CT and 2x plain film DR rooms. In addition, a state of the art breast imaging unit has been built at Mount Vernon Hospital.</p>
<p>During your first two years working with us you will not only be able to consolidate and develop your general radiographic skills but also acquire basic competencies in CT.</p>
<p>Opportunities to train in MRI and US are open to all staff, these posts are awarded on merit, not experience.</p>
<p>The radiology department is committed to developing their radiographers and we positively encourage and support extended roles and post graduate training. Currently we have radiographers undertaking Post graduate Certificates in ultrasound, a radiographer led HSG and PICC line insertion service and reporting radiographers providing musculo-skeletal reporting.</p>
<p>Our services are provided on two sites at the Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be expected to participate in the radiographer shift rota and the out of hours duties on both sites. Main duties include:</p>

<li>To produce images of diagnostic quality that are properly identified with regard to patient's name, side examined, date of examination etc., in line with trust and departmental protocols.</li>
<li>Be adequately trained in the safe and competent use of equipment prior to operating it.</li>
<li>To be fully competent in the operation of all appropriate imaging equipment.</li>
<li>Use knowledge and skill to adapt your radiographic technique for complicated cases.</li>
<li>Be responsible for the welfare and comfort of patients in the department.</li>
<li>Assist with the training and supervision of student radiographers, assistant practitioners and radiographic assistants.</li>
<li>Participate in the departments radiographer shift rota and out of hours rota to provide 24/7 radiology cover.</li>

  <p>We are currently recruiting for exciting opportunities to join Turning Point and be part of our highly successful and innovative Talking Therapies service.</p><p>Total Wellbeing Luton is an integrated Talking Therapies service combining healthy lifestyles and emotional health programmes provided in partnership with Active Luton and we are looking for a qualified High Intensity CBT Team Leader / Step 3 team Leader to join the team.</p><p>The service in Luton provides person-centered, holistic and accessible wellbeing services which are flexible and creative, easy to access and navigate and responsive to the needs of local people. The service contributes to tackling inequalities in health through promoting and supporting people to develop healthier behaviours and lifestyles in the context of their own local communities.</p><p>As well as supporting the community with improving their physical and emotional heath, we also prioritise our staff wellbeing. Were based at Active Luton gyms and community centres, which all staff can access and use freely.</p><p>We offer regular masterclasses to upskill our therapists and support their career development as well as opportunities to access additional modality training.</p><p>We offer £1,200 joining bonus.</p><p><strong>Please apply directly on our Turning Point website using the link in the supporting information section.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will join our team in Luton, working in and around the district, where we specialize in evidence-based psychological therapies. Alongside vast experience of working within Mental Health, you will also have experience of leading and managing teams with a proven ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients and working relationships with your colleagues.</p><p>You will also manage your own caseload and inspire your team to meet both service and individual targets, having an IAPT Supervision Course under your belt would be helpful too, but not essential.</p><p>In addition to talking therapies, we offer healthy lifestyle programmes including NHS stop smoking, health checks, and exercise on referral, social prescription, weight management and support with physical activity for people with long term health conditions.</p>
