  <p><strong>The Community Therapy Service team in Wallingford is looking for an enthusiastic clinician with an interest in Mental Health to join the team as a Senior Band 6 in a part time capacity of 30 hours per week.</strong></p> <p><strong>Could this be you?</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a senior clinician with a mental health background, who is enthusiastic to develop their clinical practice within innovative and supportive multidisciplinary teams, treating patients in their own homes.</p> <p>The Community Therapy Service aims to provide high quality integrated therapy services working as a key member of the community MDT . We work closely with other multidisciplinary team members, social services and voluntary organisations for adults with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Mental Health Practitioner - Physiotherapist you will provide high quality mental health rehabilitation to patients referred to or within the Community Therapy Service (CTS). You will use your expertise to help support other CTS practitioners achieve rehabilitation goals. In addition to this you will be supporting our community response physical health pathway.</p>
<p>You will also work closely with the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) to minimise duplication, maximise efficiency and facilitate a seamless pathway between the two services for the patient understanding the roles and responsibilities of the clinicians for establishing and delivering a care plan for the patient.</p>

  <p>As a member of a specialist Psychological Therapies team, you will work closely with colleagues in our CMHT and in-patient teams as well as the newly develop Primary Care Community Mental Health Hubs. You will also liaise with and support psychological therapists working at earlier steps in the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway. You will work with the Clinical Lead, Locality Leads, Team Manager and your team to ensure that the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway achieves its key objectives of delivering integrated, safe, accessible, responsive, effective and caring services to people in Buckinghamshire.</p> <p>You will provide psychological assessments and interventions for adults with severe and/or complex mental health problems, their families and carers. You will provide supervision and management support to other psychological therapists and consultation and guidance to our colleagues in the CMHT. You will have excellent communication skills and will participate in multidisciplinary risk assessment, formulation and care planning. You should be able to demonstrate your experience, skills and qualifications in evidence-based approaches in specialist adult mental health settings, this may include for example CBT or third wave approaches / Schema Therapy / EMDR / DBT / MBT / CAT.   <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our acute mental health teams in St Albans/Stevenage. There may also be options to work at our site in Kingfisher Court, Radlett.</p> <p>The postholder will provide occupational therapy expertise within the multi-disciplinary team, including specialist assessment, individual, and group work intervention. They will have a leadership &amp; supervisory role in the OT team. The teams consist of occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, arts therapists, a horticulturalist, psychologists as well as a full MDT.</p> <p>There are regular opportunities to network with other OTs to share ideas and good practice, engage in CPD and funded external courses including Masters or PGDip level study in a variety of specialties such as Sensory Integration, Trauma Informed Care &amp; Reducing Restrictive Practice.</p> <p>Dependent on the successful candidate's experience, this post will either commence as a Band 6 post, or as a Band 5-6 Development post. Robust supervision from the Band 7 and 8 OTs with growth opportunities will support the post-holder to transition successfully from a Band 5 to a Band 6 level using a bespoke training package and competency framework. Ideally individuals will make the transition to Band 6 within six months of starting in post however this will be assessed on an individual basis. </p>
