  <p>We are seeking a High Intensity Modality Lead to support and manage the delivery and development of additional modalities within NHS Talking Therapies Southampton.</p> <p>As a High Intensity Modality lead you will act as clinical lead within an area of expertise, provide expertadvice to psychological therapists and other professionals. You will provide non-CBT high intensity modalities that form part of the NHS Talking Therapies programme as recommended by NICE for clients who present a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems as well as other mild to moderate mental health problems.</p> <p>You will supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other high intensity therapists and trainees and support other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment.</p> <p>This is a part time role of 30 hours based in Southampton.   <p>You will primarily oversee clinical quality and outcomes for the high intensity team, focusing on the delivery and quality of non-CBT HI additional modalities including evidence based NICE Approved treatments Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Person Centred Experiential - Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).</p> <p>You will work with the locality leads and senior service lead to ensure that national guidelines are adhered to in line with the national NHS Talking Therapy programme, targets are achieved and appropriate clinical governance arrangements are in place.</p> <p>You will work with the Locality Lead &amp; S3 Specialist oversee and monitor waiting lists for the additional modalities, to ensure timely access to treatment for patients and that the service is achieving KPIs.</p> <p>Provide specialist psychological therapy to patients from the NHS TT service in an expert area of practice. You will be joining a vibrant professional group of nine Family and Systemic Psychotherapists who work across a range of outpatient teams.</p><p>Systemic Supervision will be provided and in addition you will be able to join a family therapy clinic, working with another Family and Systemic Psychotherapist.</p><p>The team at The Beacon Unit currently consists of clinicians across a wide range of disciplines: Psychiatry, Psychology, Dietetics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy. Systemic Psychotherapy has been a valued and integral part of the team for many years. </p>

  <p>Staff work closely with CAMHS Specialist Teams, Outpatient, Inpatient and Adult services, while also having connections with the wider MDT within the community.</p><p>We offer early specialist assessment and intervention using evidence-based approaches to young people up to the age of 18 years old and their families.</p><p>We are especially keen to hear from candidates who reflects the diverse communities we serve.</p><p>Some of the duties you will undertake within this role include:</p><ul><li>To undertake detailed &amp; highly specialist psychological and systemic assessments of children and families.   <p>The Genomic Associate will be based in the Clinical Genetics Service at Northwick Park Hospital and will work alongside clinical geneticists, genetic counsellors, laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to provide enhanced contact with patients at the point of referral, and after genetic testing and counselling, to facilitate the collection of information and obtain consent, where needed. The genomic Associate will also help to facilitate access to the service, particularly amongst marginalised communities and families who are difficult to engage. The post holder will be responsible for requesting test reports, relevant tissue/samples and testing by liaising with laboratories, families, and clinical teams, as well as the tracking of such requests They will keep clinicians and patients updated on progress, highlighting any long waiters.</p> <p>Under supervision, you will support the team with keeping spreadsheets, databases and portals updated for gene carriers, as well as undertaking regular audit to ensure patients are accepted onto screening programs. They will be responsible for arranging breast screening for those at high risk and keeping spreadsheets/records updated.</p> <p>the post holder will support the team with cancer triage by obtaining family history information, entering of data for online cancer risk assessments and generating a risk calculation using that program (e.g. CanRisk) for interpretation and use by genetic counsellors and clinical geneticists.</p>

Previous training has included OCD for step 2 and Long Term Health Conditions. As a service we are always looking to approach the local community to offer wider access to the service and as part of this you can be involved in promoting the service which can include presentations, drop in clinics and specialised event days which can be an exciting way to engage with the community and widen your signposting knowledge.
Warrington Talking Therapies offers exciting opportunities for trainee PWPs such as weekly buddy time where you have regular peer support in addition to weekly case management supervision and fortnightly group clinical skills supervision. Staff also have twice monthly catch ups with time set aside for socialising and wellbeing in the monthly team meeting and their Step 2 Meeting.
 
About the role
The post holder will work within the service, whilst undertaking a programme of training at John Moores University, where they will progressively learn how to deliver low intensity interventions, at high volume, with patients with anxiety and depression. You will receive excellent support in the role including extensive clinical and caseload supervision.
 
You will offer a range of effective treatment and support available to people with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and extend this support to provide psychological intervention services to adults with an intellectual/learning disability who have concurrent common mental health problems.
 
The post holder will split their time between university attendance and working in service, conducting assessments, and providing face to face and remote Low Intensity Interventions.
Please note: It is a requirement of the role, that successful candidates seek BABCP accreditation within 6 months of relevant patient contact and qualifying.
 
 
About you
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people and have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills.
 
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs, and experience of working with mental health, physical health, learning needs and substance misuse issues would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required to build good therapeutic relationships with clients
 
You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written communication as well as excellent verbal communication including telephone skills. You will also be able to evaluate and put in place the skills and knowledge that you are provided as part of the training and development opportunities included in this role.
 
It is essential that you hold a health-related degree. Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or within a psychological therapy would be desirable.

You should have a real interest in helping people with anxiety and depression to achieve a level of recovery which will improve their overall wellbeing and day to day life. You will offer treatment through different modalities: face to face, telephone, groups and cCBT. As a trainee PWP we will look at continuously developing your skills by offering a further 4 training days which are based on identified training requirements. Previous training has included OCD for step 2 and Long Term Health Conditions. As a service we are always looking to approach the local community to offer wider access to the service and as part of this you can be involved in promoting the service which can include presentations, drop in clinics and specialised event days which can be an exciting way to engage with the community and widen your signposting knowledge.
Warrington Talking Therapies offers exciting opportunities for trainee PWPs such as weekly buddy time where you have regular peer support in addition to weekly case management supervision and fortnightly group clinical skills supervision. Staff also have twice monthly catch ups with time set aside for socialising and wellbeing in the monthly team meeting and their Step 2 Meeting.
 
About the role
The post holder will work within the service, whilst undertaking a programme of training at John Moores University, where they will progressively learn how to deliver low intensity interventions, at high volume, with patients with anxiety and depression. You will receive excellent support in the role including extensive clinical and caseload supervision.
 
You will offer a range of effective treatment and support available to people with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and extend this support to provide psychological intervention services to adults with an intellectual/learning disability who have concurrent common mental health problems.
 
The post holder will split their time between university attendance and working in service, conducting assessments, and providing face to face and remote Low Intensity Interventions.
Please note: It is a requirement of the role, that successful candidates seek BABCP accreditation within 6 months of relevant patient contact and qualifying.
 
 
About you
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people and have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills.
 
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs, and experience of working with mental health, physical health, learning needs and substance misuse issues would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required to build good therapeutic relationships with clients
 
You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written communication as well as excellent verbal communication including telephone skills. You will also be able to evaluate and put in place the skills and knowledge that you are provided as part of the training and development opportunities included in this role.
 
It is essential that you hold a health-related degree. Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or within a psychological therapy would be desirable.

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a developmental Band 7-8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist or experienced 8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist developmental to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services at Brooklands Hospital. This is a full-time position primarily based within the autism low secure service, with some hours in the LD secure services.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management and is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams. Positive Behavioural Support is a key component of our treatment approach and philosophy and the successful candidate will work closely with others on developing new and existing service projects, develop new and existing group programmes and provide support in training others. There is lots of personal and service development opportunity within this role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will ideally have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who present considerable risk to others. You will use your psychological skills and experience to provide assessments, individual and group therapies, team formulations, and reflective practice.</p> <p>You may also supervise others (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists) and be involved in training others, such as ward staff and multidisciplinary colleagues. Training others and contributing to and leading on service development projects and undertaking audit and research is an important part of this role.</p> <p>The psychology department at Brooklands is a well-established and supportive service and the successful applicant will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities. The teamwork from a number of different therapeutic approaches including CBT, CAT, CFT, EMDR and Schema Therapy. We provide a number of well-established and structured offence group programmes as part of the service user's comprehensive treatment pathway.</p>
