We’re here for men who have recently been through a mental health crisis—whether they’ve just left hospital or are finding it difficult to stay safe where they currently live. Our house offers a calm, safe environment where residents can take time to stabilise and focus on their wellbeing. We provide therapeutic support to help each person feel ready and confident to return home. Stays are usually up to 10 days, although men who are of no fixed abode (NFA) may stay a little longer if needed.</p><ul>	<li>We’re a non-CQC registered service.</li>	<li>Our team is here day and night, 24/7, every day of the year.</li>	<li>The service is run by Rethink Mental Illness, working closely with AWP, who handle all referrals through their Crisis Teams.</li></ul><p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p><p><strong>Staffing, Leadership &amp; Oversight</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that staff have the correct guidance and support to fulfil their roles and will ensure that a monthly 24/7 rota ensures enough staffing capacity to deliver effective support.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality of Support &amp; Environment</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that a high standard of support is embedded within the service and will promote and support an inclusive environment.</li>	<li>I will ensure that high quality support planning, risk management, outcomes measurements are in place for all residents in the service at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Referrals &amp; Risk Management</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will review all referrals into the service and ensure these are appropriate for the service remit and that risks are manageable during the residents stay.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Working in partnership with the team, the postholder will ensure that excellent clinical standards are maintained.</p> <p>Effective caseload management will be supported by robust and efficient individual and team supervision processes. Always working within the overarching legal framework, the postholder will demonstrate effective clinical practice in their day-to-day work.</p> <p><strong>NOTE:</strong> This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP Trust policy, all newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) will initially be recruited at Band 5 level, regardless of the advertised role banding. You will develop the ability to recognise signs and symptoms of mental health illness and, as a key member of the multi-professional team--which includes Nurses, Doctors, and Occupational Therapists--you will contribute to collaborative care planning and implementation.</strong></p>
<p>Although we are a mental health unit, we place equal emphasis on physical health care and monitoring. The role of the Healthcare Support Worker is vital in ensuring that daily wellbeing and care needs are met, including monitoring clinical vital signs.</p>
<p>Successful applicants will also be required to undertake and complete a <strong>Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA)</strong> course. This training enables staff to build the skills needed to de-escalate service users during peaks of distress, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for all.</p>

  <p>We are looking for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist passionate about working with complex presentations to join our diverse, dynamic team of skilled practitioners in South Bristol. You would offer evidence based approaches to work with service users and excellent supervision and training for Support and Recovery staff, as well as colleagues.</p> <p>The Complex Psychological Interventions Team (CPI), are part of Bristol Mental Health. CPI offers a range of activities to support psychologically informed care within the secondary mental health service. CPI has a strong presence in the Support and Recovery and the Crisis Teams. We have a unique identity as a group of highly skilled and respected professionals who liaise with senior Bristol management and meet monthly city - wide.</p> <p>CPI is comprised of multidisciplinary professions and provide a range of services both direct to clients, and indirect supportive functions with staff teams.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will provide specialist assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation, alongside staff training, supervision, consultation, advice and support to the South Bristol Recovery team. You will also provide clinical and/or management supervision to more junior CPI staff, placements to Clinical/Counselling Psychology trainees and engage in service development work as appropriate.</p> <p>To work within the Assessment &amp; Recovery Services, it is essential for you to have experience of delivering therapy to this client group, and to have been trained in NICE guideline interventions (e.g. DBT, CBT, Family Interventions, CAT, MBT etc). You will need excellent interpersonal skills to support the development of psychological thinking and intervention within multidisciplinary teams. Experience of delivering supervision and training would be essential.</p> <p>We would be especially interested in candidates with experience of supervision and management of Complex Trauma within secondary settings.</p> <p>We also plan this post to include the CPI Service User Involvement lead role. This entails working with a CPI colleague to co-facilitate our monthly CPI Service User Reference group.</p>
