  <p>Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role working with a friendly MDT that values the psychological perspective? Seeking opportunities to support exciting new service developments whilst delivering valuable psychological intervention to some of the most vulnerable individuals? If so then we invite you to be part of our psychology team in the Learning Disability Division. We provide clinical services to the pan Black Country population of adults with learning disabilities, continually evolving in line with the Transforming Care Programme.</p>  <p>As an Applied Psychologist or Psychological Therapist based with the Wolverhampton Community Learning Disability Team you will work alongside an experienced MDT and supportive psychology colleagues to deliver high quality, person centred and evidence based services with the aim of achieving positive life outcomes for individuals.</p>  <p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated clinician who ideally has experience in working with adults with a learning disability. The successful candidate for this varied and dynamic role will be delivering 1:1 assessments and interventions for individuals with learning disabilities. In addition, you will be leading on the development, coordination and delivery of a programme of CBT informed group psychological intervention to Black Country citizen's accessing learning disability services. The role is diverse and rewarding with excellent cross division support.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with learning disabilities. You will hold an individual caseload for delivering 1:1 interventions within the Wolverhampton locality, working systemically in line with families and carers where appropriate. With support from psychology and MDT colleagues you will lead on developing, delivering and evaluating a Division wide group programme to ensure citizens with a learning disability have appropriate access to evidence based psychological therapy. You will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. </p>  <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress. A core member of the Wolves CLDT, you will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with client centred therapeutic interventions. You will work with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and with colleagues from other services, providing expertise in psychological formulation for people with learning disability and mental health needs and their families/ carers.</p>   <h3>About us</h3>

  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. There are opportunities to apply and develop your time-limited psychological skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CFT, CAT and brief psychodynamic therapy.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We see clients with a range of complex mental health problems including CPTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and moderate/severe presentations of depression and anxiety. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall). We work within a strong multi-disciplinary ethos, with very good links with staff from Tier 1, our Recovery College and VCSE partners.</p> <p>The core CMHTs are supported by specialist services which also include psychological therapists: Complex Emotional Needs Service; Eating Disorders; Perinatal Services; 18-25s Transitions Team; Early Intervention in Psychosis; Clinical Health Psychology.</p>  <p>Whilst Operational managers provide our line management, we provide strong professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to all our psychological staff. Psychology is a vital and influential field, represented at every level in our Trust, including the roles of our Chief Therapies Officer, and also our Chief Clinical Information Officer who are both Consultant Clinical Psychologists.</p>

Reporting into the Counselling Services Manager, you will provide a high-quality telephone counselling service to clients considering or choosing an abortion, as well as those seeking post-abortion support.</p><p>You will offer brief, time-limited counselling to help clients navigate their decisions and emotions. This role involves assessing client suitability for BPAS counselling, making referrals to other services when necessary, and maintaining accurate and confidential client records.</p><p><em>This role is working remotely from home for 20 hours per week over Monday, Tuesday, and </em><em>Wednesdays, with 1 in 4 Saturdays. A detailed shift pattern can be found below.</em></p><p><strong>About You:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 4 diploma in professional counselling, and be registered with BACP or an accredited NCPS registrant.   <p>The post holder will be working within a busy team alongside a team ofregistered mental health nurses and be supported by the Team Manager,Senior Clinical Lead/CBT Practitioner, and team administrators.</p> <p>Post holders will have a high level of autonomy working across designated GP practices, managing their own clinics and providing mental healthassessment and evidenced based treatment for people aged over 18. You will provide a service to people who exhibit complex common mental health needs and stable, predictable and enduring serious mental health needs.
