  <p><strong>We currently have 2 full-time and 1 part-time Clinical Psychologist/ CBT Therapist/ Senior Mental Health Clinician Band 7 vacancies in MHST - 1x Full Time (37.5 hours a week) based at Unither House Chertsey, 1x Full-time based at either Unither House, Chertsey or Trust HQ, Leatherhead, 1 x part time ( 30 hours a week) based at Unither House Chertsey.</strong></p> <p>We invite you to consider being involved in this exciting opportunity to help to deliver the governments vision and commitment to develop integrated mental health teams in schools.</p> <p>Building on existing 'whole school approaches' to mental health and wellbeing, Surrey is developing new MHSTs to work with selected primary and secondary schools to increase access to mental health interventions for children and young people up to the age of 18 years.</p> <p>Our MHSTs have 3 core functions; supporting families and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties by delivering evidence-based interventions in schools; providing timely advice and consultation to schools, and supporting schools to deliver whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing. Each MHST is co-located in schools, operating from the four main geographical hubs, with services delivered across the cluster of schools for each area.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Senior Clinician you will be mentoring and/or supervising the development of EMHPs in your team, building a culture of high-quality clinical practice. You will grow and nurture trainees and newly qualified EMHPs, utilising your experience and skills to ensure they develop into well rounded clinicians.</p>
<p>You will take the lead in building relationships with senior leaders in schools, providing regular case consultation, support and advice, and being a 'link' to the wider children's mental health services. Together with the Clinical Lead and educational psychologists, you will develop programmes of work to support schools with their whole school approach goals, enabling more sustainable, holistic change. Finally, you will hold a small caseload, delivering direct interventions to CYP and families.</p>
<p>We are looking to build a multi-disciplinary team whose strength comes from the variety of skills and experience brought by each team member.   <p>We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate your commitment to providing high quality care and counselling for depression at Step 3. You will be delivering counselling for depression using a stepped care model in line with the national IAPT programme and latest NICE guidance for psychological interventions. The role involves delivering one to one Counselling, Assessments and therapeutic groups.</p>
<p>You must demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development and be prepared to attend training in the Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CFD) IAPT training at Metanoia with a desirable commitment to Mind Matters of 1.5 years post training completion/award of qualification (not just attending the course).</p>
<p>Developmental Plan:</p>

<p>Be able to make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.   <p>We are excited to recruit two full time 8a posts, each to be based in CIMHS North and CIMHS South:</p>
<p>To support the development and leadership of community psychology approaches in Newham through working with psychology and non-psychology colleagues across a range of services</p>
<p>To provide highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations and interventions to secondary mental health services and those in the community, particularly those with complex mental health problem, who are vulnerable to poor health outcomes through poverty and other social inequalities, disabilities and physical health conditions.</p>
<p>To develop partnership working with local community organisations with the aim of community capacity building and co-production of psychological input. This includes supporting ongoing transformation work in line with a more flexible outreach psychological offer.</p>
<p>To develop, through co-production, psychological interventions that address the needs of those served including resilience and recovery, shared support, social connections and community engagement.</p>
<p>To offer and supervise adapted therapies with diverse communities such as Behavioural Activation for Muslim communities (BA-M), Islamic psychology and CBT-music for young black men.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Provide specialist psychological assessments of service users and carers. This is to be based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex psychological data from a variety of quantitative and qualitative sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and assessments with service users and others involved in their care.</p> <p>Be responsible for the formulation and implementation of a broad range of specialist psychological treatment and/or management of service users' mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of those problems derived from a broad theoretical knowledge of psychology, and employing methods based upon evidence of proven efficacy, across the full range of care settings.</p>

Highly Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Due to a review of the staffing establishment an exciting opportunity has arisen for additional Band 4 Nursery Nurses to join the team at the East London Mother &amp; Baby Unit.</p>
<p>Applicants for this position will need to be a nursery nurse with the appropriate training, experience of working with babies and who are able to demonstrate interest in Perinatal Mental Health.</p>
<p>Working in a Mother &amp; Baby Unit is a unique role for nursery nurses to work within an inpatient mental health ward, supporting babies and their mothers who are experiencing mental health difficulties.</p>
<p>The East London Mother and Baby unit is a 12 bedded unit based within the City &amp; Hackney Centre for Mental Health.</p>
<p>This family-centred specialist Mother and Baby Unit cares for people who experience severe mental health difficulties during the later stages of pregnancy and following the birth. The mothers are either experiencing mental health problems ante-natally or up to one year post-natally and require direct support in ensuring care of the infant is upheld whilst supporting the mother through their own recovery.</p>
<p>The ward team consists of registered mental health nurses, nursery nurses, social therapists and a life skills recovery worker. This work is further enhanced in therapy by a psychologist, occupational therapist, parent-infant psychotherapist, art therapist and dance movement therapist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge of caring effectively for infants under 1 year and to use this knowledge to teach and guide colleagues and mums.</p> <p>Assess and implementcare for infants and ensuring needs are met and that mum is supported to provide safe and effective care to baby.</p> <p>To contribute to the development of standards of care for both mothers and babies on the unit, proving feedback as necessary and taking positive steps towards implementing necessary change</p> <p>To support wider family network as necessary around knowledge and care of babies.</p> <p>Any successful applicant will also be expected to support the City and Hackney Centre for Mental Health in providing care and treatment and upholding the safety of both patients and staff within the unit.</p> <p>You will be expected to work Long days, nights and weekends. You will also be expected to undertake training in physical holding skills.</p>
