Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? <p>This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Our Community First Responder (CFR) scheme is a life-saving partnership with local communities. As authorised volunteers CFRs form teams across Yorkshire to help reduce the number of pre-hospital deaths.</p><p>Our CFRs are trained to provide life-saving treatment to patients in the vital first few minutes of an emergency until our ambulance crew arrives. If effective treatment is provided quickly, lives can be saved and disability reduced. This is especially true for heart attacks and medical conditions which have caused someone to lose consciousness.</p><p>When a 999 call is received in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), an ambulance response is dispatched. At the same time, a CFR on-call in the area can be alerted and asked to attend the incident to ensure that help reaches the patient as quickly as possible.</p><p>As our volunteers are based within the community, they may only be a minute or two away from a medical emergency and very often their role is to simply provide vital reassurance to patients and their families until the ambulance crew arrives. However, in extreme cases, such as a cardiac arrest, they can perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to try and restart someone’s heart, which can potentially save their life.</p><p>Anyone who wants to help their community can become a CFR.</p><p>No previous medical experience or training is necessary, but you will need a caring attitude and be able to cope with potentially distressing situations.</p><p>You need to:</p><ul><li>be aged 18 or over</li><li>hold a valid, full UK driving licence, with no more than three penalty points</li><li>have access to a vehicle</li><li>be prepared to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check</li><li>be prepared to undertake occupational health screening</li><li>be prepared to undertake our 4 day CFR course.   <p>Are you an ODP and want to work in an exciting department? If the answer is yes then the JAG accredited Endoscopy Service at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity for an ODP at Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary Endoscopy units. The Trust has two purpose built State of the Art Endoscopy units. One based at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and one at the Calderdale Royal Hospital each with 3 theatres and a decontamination unit. The units deliver the Bowel Screening service alongside the diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy service to out-patients and in-patients and an acute service for GI bleeds. Both units are training units, training both Medical Staff and Clinical Endoscopists.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>ou will be a registered staff nurse and have excellent assessment, planning and evaluation skills to deliver clinical care to patients and support our Nursing Assistants.
You will coordinate and manage care ensuring that all calls are effectively assessed, triaged, allocated and recorded. You will have an overview of the service as a whole to ensure that patients and staff remain safe and care is appropriate and effective overnight. E.g. re-allocating work to cover unexpected staff absence.  At times you will be expected to work clinically and deliver direct patient care, though the majority of your role will be clinical triage via telephone. 
You must have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills as you will be coordinating care for a large number of complex patients.
You will provide clinical leadership, including line management of Band 5 Staff Nurses, and oversee line management of our Band 3 Nursing Assistants.
You must be able to think on your feet, problem solve and juggle conflicting priorities as well as motivate others in challenging times and utilise the resources available to you effectively.
The hours of work are 17:00pm-22:00pm over 7 days a week (including bank holidays).  The role is based from Hunslet Health Centre, though it is expected that you could travel across the city of Leeds during your shift to deliver patient care. 
It would be expected that you are available to work on a rota over 7 evenings per week, 365 days per year.

Our service aims to promote an optimum level of recovery, independence and social inclusion for each individual.</p> <p>This fixed term post is to work in the South Community Mental Health Team. The hours are 0.6 WTE (22.5 hours) for a B8a, or as a B7 this would be 0.7 WTE (26.25hours).</p> <p>We would consider applications from candidates wishing to apply for either a B7 or a B8a position.   <p>We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) to work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.</p> <p>You should be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to work proactively in both multi-disciplinary teams and within a multi-agency context. This role provides excellent opportunities for developing your skills in both direct and indirect team working, within a supportive team of experienced psychological therapists. </p> <p>The job will involve working alongside experienced MDT colleagues to offer one-to-one evidence-based psychological interventions to service users and their families, contributing to and delivering group work. The role also includes joint and indirect work with colleagues (team formulation, staff training, support and consultation around psychological issues); and appropriate audit, service development, evaluation and research activities as required. </p> <p>The post will suit a candidate with experience of work with adults with complex presentations, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, complex trauma and personality difficulties. The psychological therapies team includes both clinical psychologists and CBT psychotherapists who offer a range of interventions including CAT, CBT, EMDR, ACT, family work, DBT-informed work, and CFT. The post would provide excellent opportunities in terms of developing specialist skills in psychological models of care.</p>
