<p>Our Community First Responder (CFR) scheme is a life-saving partnership with local communities. As authorised volunteers CFRs form teams across Yorkshire to help reduce the number of pre-hospital deaths.</p><p>Our CFRs are trained to provide life-saving treatment to patients in the vital first few minutes of an emergency until our ambulance crew arrives. If effective treatment is provided quickly, lives can be saved and disability reduced. This is especially true for heart attacks and medical conditions which have caused someone to lose consciousness.</p><p>When a 999 call is received in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), an ambulance response is dispatched. At the same time, a CFR on-call in the area can be alerted and asked to attend the incident to ensure that help reaches the patient as quickly as possible.</p><p>As our volunteers are based within the community, they may only be a minute or two away from a medical emergency and very often their role is to simply provide vital reassurance to patients and their families until the ambulance crew arrives. However, in extreme cases, such as a cardiac arrest, they can perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to try and restart someone’s heart, which can potentially save their life.</p><p>Anyone who wants to help their community can become a CFR.</p><p>No previous medical experience or training is necessary, but you will need a caring attitude and be able to cope with potentially distressing situations.</p><p>You need to:</p><ul><li>be aged 18 or over</li><li>hold a valid, full UK driving licence, with no more than three penalty points</li><li>have access to a vehicle</li><li>be prepared to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check</li><li>be prepared to undertake occupational health screening</li><li>be prepared to undertake our 4 day CFR course. <p>This entails competently assessing unwell service users, including completing assessments, planning and implementing person-centred interventions and the ongoing evaluation of their care and treatment.</p>
<p>You will be required to oversee the provision of the psychology service, as well as supporting the team in facilitating assessment and formulation interventions and psychology groups in collaboration with the team.</p>

<p><strong>As a Lead Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>

    <li>Provide psychological assessments based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, integration and communication of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological testing, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users, carers and other relevant stakeholders involved in the service user’s care and recovery.</li>
    <li>Lead on formulation of plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of service users’ mental health and broader psychosocial needs utilising appropriate, evidence-based clinical frameworks</li>
    <li>Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.</li>
    <li>Develop and manage groupwork programmes and innovative therapeutic approaches. To ensure that appropriate outcome measures are in place.</li>
    <li>Ensure that Psychology practices in the specified area of service maintains the highest standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards at all times.</li>
    <li>Supports in the development and delivery of training programmes to aid the development of staff teams in a given service area.</li>
    <li>Providing clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologists, as directed by the Lead Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Leading on recruitment of psychology staff</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you'll need:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate in either Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology or the British Psychological Society’s Stage 2 training in Forensic Psychology, enabling registration with the HCPC as as Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with service users with complex needs, including but not limited to neurodivergence, complex trauma, learning difficulties, personality disorder and/or who have transferred from CAMHS to adult services for the first time relevant to the population in the service area.</li>
    <li>Competency in advanced clinical psychological assessment and formulation skills relevant to our service user group</li>
    <li>Competency as regards risk assessment/management tools and formulation.</li>
    <li>Advanced clinical therapeutic skills, both individual and group-based: - Experience with a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address a range of complex clinical and/or forensic issues and needs.</li>
    <li>Clinical supervision and delegated line management responsibility for Assistant Psychologists; trainee psychologists (where applicable) and Clinical Associate Psychologists</li>
    <li>Psychology-led workforce development interventions, including but not limited to facilitating reflective practice and relevant practical knowledge and skills workshops for staff of all disciplines and grades</li>

<p>Do you want to work in a friendly, committed and established Mental Health service, where your knowledge and skills will be valued? Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? Are you interested / experienced in providing treatment for women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders? If so, then join the team at Spring Wood Lodge hospital!</p>
<p>This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Spring Wood Lodge is located in the outskirts of Leeds at Guiseley and has close links to NHS services with established care pathways. It has excellent transport links to Bradford, Leeds and is within a short distance of Yorkshire Dales National Park.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.</li>
    <li>Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).</li>
    <li>Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients.</li>
    <li>Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.</li>
    <li>Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.</li>
    <li>Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will:</strong></p>

    <li>Be medically qualified, MRC Psych or equivalent</li>
    <li>Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions</li>
