The role is primarily split between our acute Stroke Unit and Alderbourneneuro-rehabilitation ward. There will be opportunities to gain experience on the acute wards, as well as achieving Videofluoroscopy competencies and/or FEES competencies. The post holder will work as part of the SLT team and wider MDT and will be supported and supervised by a Highly Specialist SLT as well as the Clinical Lead SLT. </p> <p>You will have previous experience of the assessment and management of neurorehabilitation patients including dysphagia management and the development of communication therapy plans. Previous experience of videofluoroscopy and MDT training is desirable. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, and patient-focused Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographers to join our friendly radiology team. This post would suit a newly-qualified radiographer or a third year student about to qualify.</p>
<p>The Hillingdon Hospital Radiology Department is undergoing a transformation with the procurement of new equipment. We have recently added a new GE EVO CT scanner, brand new OPG machine with cone beam CT and 2x plain film DR rooms. In addition, a state of the art breast imaging unit has been built at Mount Vernon Hospital.</p>
<p>During your first two years working with us you will not only be able to consolidate and develop your general radiographic skills but also acquire basic competencies in CT.</p>
<p>Opportunities to train in MRI and US are open to all staff, these posts are awarded on merit, not experience.</p>
<p>The radiology department is committed to developing their radiographers and we positively encourage and support extended roles and post graduate training. Currently we have radiographers undertaking Post graduate Certificates in ultrasound, a radiographer led HSG and PICC line insertion service and reporting radiographers providing musculo-skeletal reporting.</p>
