There are opportunities to progress in the service a via Occupational Therapy apprenticeship or through the Rehabilitation Therapy Service and the development of technical skills in teaching patients skills.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Occupational Therapy ( Sensory ) and Music Therapy Assistant post is based in the within the high security setting of Broadmoor hospital. The aim of the service is to engage, support and develop patients as part of their recovery through engagement in meaningful therapy session. The post will be working two days a week with the Music Therapist and three days a week with the Sensory Integration Practitioner assessing patients who have are Neurodiversity challenges. </p>

Specialist Mental Health Therapist - STARS

  <p>A highly specialist speech and language therapist is needed to provide leadership and ensure that we achieve top quality physical health outcomes across our inpatient mental health units.</p> <p>We provide care to a wide variety of patients with speech, language, communication and dysphagia needs, such as ABI, Stroke, Dementia and trauma and work closely with our colleagues on the team and the wards.</p>  <p>We are a multidisciplinary satellite service providing physical healthcare across a number of sites for adult and older adult populations with an acute mental illness, including Dietitians and Physiotherapists as well as the ward staff (including nurses, occupational therapists, doctors, art/drama therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists etc.).</p> <p>You will be supported in your role by the Team Manager, whom you will also deputise for alongside the other Band 7 Clinicians.   <p>Physical Health Allied Health Professions (AHP) Team works within mental health hospitals with patients who present with an acute mental health crisis.   <p>This post sits within the Children and Young Peoples Learning Disability Service within Mindworks at Surrey and Borders. The Children's LD Service is a Surrey County Wide Service, with 4 bases: Redhill Leatherhead Chertsey and Godalming. This post is being advertised as a development post, however if you have the relevant knowledge and experience for a Band 8a you are also able to apply.</p>
<p>The service is a friendly welcoming and supportive Team, made up of Nurses Psychology Music Therapy and Psychiatry along with Admin colleagues. There is a monthly Business Meeting and twice monthly clinical issues meeting, with a quarterly LD Forum.</p>
<p>The post holder will hold a case load of young people and provide appropriate interventions / support. This will include working with the family/ carers and wider MDT to ensure a consistency of approach. The post holder will also provide regular supervision to the AP based in the geographical area. They will be supported by the Clinical Psychologist in their development. Alongside regular supervision and appraisal with an identified development plan. The post holder will also contribute to the service ASD Pathway and any other pathways that are appropriate.</p>

  <p>Are you an experienced, professional Diagnostic Radiographer with a commitment to quality patient care and the drive to work within a high performing team? If so we invite you to join our friendly and dynamic Diagnostic Radiology Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.</p>
<p>Due to expansion of the service, we currently have vacancies for a number of enthusiastic Band 6 Radiographers to work in our MRI department. The successful candidate must have at demonstrable post-registration skills and experience in MRI imaging.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful applicant will work within the busy Diagnostic MRI department at the main Royal Berkshire Hospital site, participating in service delivery to a diversity of inpatient and outpatient presentations. There will also be opportunity for rotation to our Community Diagnostic Centre at West Berkshire Community Hospital, where a new state of the art MRI scanning facility is under development.</p>
<p>You must be adaptable and be prepared to work evenings and weekends as part of seven-day service delivery.</p>

  <p>Our busy Radiology department carries out a wide range of general and specialist examinations, including, Plain film, CT, MRI &amp; interventional procedures. <p>Thornford Park Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, is an independent 143 bedded hospital set in 23 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire (close to the Hampshire borders).</p>
<p>We provide services for male and female patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of medium and low security. Our service users, many of whom have forensic histories, require long-term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple problems, challenging and high-risk behaviour and complex care needs. In addition to the mental health wards, Thornford Park has a 14-bedded low secure service for male patients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, commissioned by NHS England, a medium/low secure service for females with a Learning Disability, and a medium secure service for males with Learning Disability. We also have two Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, one for males and one for females, providing holistic assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing crisis</p>
