  <p>You would be joining a comprehensive and dynamic CAMH service, delivering a substantial stepped model of care following the needs-led i-Thrive framework. There are a number of posts across the whole of Central Bedfordshire. Your role will help to develop and deliver a wide range of interventions, projects and system changes with the aim of the whole community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. These are newly funded roles that are community based, whose aim is to offer an Early Intervention service for Young People whose complexities cannot be served by our 5 Mental health in Support Teams but do not reach the threshold for core CAMHS. You will be providing comprehensive consultations, assessments, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties. The post-holder will also clinically supervise colleagues. There may be an option of supervisor training at Reading University which we would strongly encourage post holders to take up.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for confident CAMHS professionals with a demonstrable track record, within CAMHS, of providing good quality evidence-based interventions and improving service quality. You will be a Mental Health Nurse, Systemic Family Psychotherapist, Psychologist, Arts Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Child Psychotherapist, CBT Therapist, Counsellor or Occupational Therapist with the requisite professional registration. We welcome applicants who have experience of working or living in Central Bedfordshire.</p> <p>There is a national focus on increasing the reach of Early Intervention for Children and Young People with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. In line with the recently published NHS 10 Year Plan we have an ambition to increase more access to early Intervention to all Young people in Central Bedfordshire and improve the general culture of emotional support to all Young people and their families. Working alongside community partners and our Mental Health Support Teams your team will be fully integrated with community CAMHS and educational settings.</p>

  <p>The Hellingly Centre is a modern purpose built medium secure unit specialising in the assessment and treatment of people with complex and enduring mental health needs, who have had contact with the criminal justice system.</p> <p>There are 4 specialist wards (2 male medium secure wards - Oak and Ash, 1 female medium secure ward - Blossom and 1 male low secure ward - Elm), each with a strong multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>We have a range of therapy facilities within the centre including: a gym, shop, music, woodwork and art rooms and Badger's Caf and allotment space on-site.</p> <p>The centre is situated within the beautiful Hellingly Country Park and the Cuckoo Trail is also very close by. The local town, Hailsham is under 10 minutes away by car. There is a direct bus link to Eastbourne.</p> <p>There is a small gym on-site which is available for staff to use.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Youth Worker to the Paediatric Diabetes team within The Northern Care Alliance. The postholder will work across the areas of Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford as part of the multi-disciplinary team using specific skills to contribute to the non-clinical aspects of care for young people with diabetes, their families and carers.</p> <p>The post holder will focus on ensuring young people will be effectively supported in the process of transition. This will involve engagement and communication with young people to support and develop positive self-care behaviours, promote engagement with the diabetes team and provide strategies to navigate health care systems for their long-term health needs.</p> <p>The Youth Worker is an integral member of the diabetes clinical team and will work very closely with the Lead Nurses. Transition is the process whereby young people prepare for the transfer to adult services. The appointed candidate will play a key role in the 3 processes of transition; beginning of transition where the concept is introduced, the middle phase where the CYP and their family get actively into transition and the final phase when the CYP are integrated into adult service. </p> <p>Communicating with young people is imperative within this role to support the young people's overall well-being, encompassing physical, mental and social health. Peer Support Worker - Band 3

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking compassionate, dedicated Peer Specialists ready to use their personal journey to inspire hope and guide others through self-defined mental health crisis.</p> <p>The Retreat - based in Weymouth (subject to final arrangements in a move of current base) offer an open access crisis mental health service every evening; providing a welcoming, safe space for people to come and receive support, without referral or judgement.</p> <p>The partnership between lived and clinical experience is fundamental to the ethos and values of the Retreats, and you will work alongside Registered Practitioners in this role. As a vital member of our team, you will provide practical support and peer-led guidance to help visitors and their support networks regain control and hope while navigating challenging moments and moving forward in their recovery. By sharing your lived experience, you will foster trust, hope and promote self-determination.</p> <p>You'll receive comprehensive induction and specialist training, including trauma-informed care and collaborative working practices, to ensure you can use your experience to create real, lasting impact.</p> <p><strong>Full and part time hours are available (minimum 15 hours or 2 shifts per week). The service operates 365 days of the year, and whilst all reasonable flexible working requests will be considered, shift times are set at 16:00-midnight, in line with the opening hours of the service.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To utilise your own lived experience of mental health, by using it intentionally in therapeutic conversation with others.</p>
<p>To support people presenting in mental health crisis, who are likely to be experiencing and displaying significant distress and vulnerability, providing compassionate and non-judgemental care.</p>
<p>Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.</p>
