Job Overview:
The Student Mental Health Counselor will provide essential mental health support and counseling services to students throughout the school. This role involves working closely with students, parents, teachers, and staff to promote emotional well-being, resilience, and academic success.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in School Counseling.
- At least 2 years of experience in student counseling or mental health support within an educational setting
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to conduct individual and group counseling sessions effectively
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and referral processes
- Proficient in maintaining confidential records according to ethical standards
