Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mental Health Residential Support Worker to join our new Mental Health Residential Home in Coalville, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing environment, supporting children and young people with complex needs as they recover from mental health issues and prepare for their next steps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote independence, wellbeing, and resilience among service users.
  • Leading and supporting Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Documenting information accurately and ensuring all records are up to date.
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are strictly followed.
  • Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment at all times, in line with organisational standards.
  • Working flexibly across various locations within Leicestershire, including Hinckley, Braunstone, Mountsorrel, Market Harborough, and Syston, to support service delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential care setting.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leading experience.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
