Our Dumfries and Galloway resource centres are based in Dumfries, Annan, Castle Douglas, Newton Stewart and Stranraer. We arelooking for a
Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner to join our community-based services in Stranraer (hub-based).
About the roleAs a Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner, you'll work directly with people through a mix of 1:1 support, group activities and community engagement, helping individuals identify achievable goals, develop personal plans and build practical strategies to support their mental health and wellbeing.
About youYou'll have experience supporting people through group activities and one-to-one support, building positive relationships and working in a person-centred, trauma-informed way. You'll be confident managing your own workload, working collaboratively as part of a team and making safe, informed decisions. An SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Healthcare (Adults) and SSSC registration are desirable, or you'll be willing to work towards them.
