Consultant Clinical Psychologist working into Critical Care

The post holder will contribute to the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients of the psychology service and provide psychological work with patients under the care of the ICU team. They will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality service to patients, their families and colleagues. A major requirement of the post will be the provision of clinical supervision to qualified clinical psychologists and other family of psychology, psychotherapy and counselling professionals as appropriate, to trainee psychologists as required, to offer the supervision of clinical research as needed, the provision of reflective discussions groups and consultation for senior clinical teams, counsellors, nurses, AHP colleagues in line with local service level agreements, including some organisations external to the Trust as required.
