Useful guides for mental health and coaching practices

In alignment with the Association for Coaching's Code of Ethics, it is implicit that practitioners, coaches, and coach supervisors consider the mental health and wellbeing of their clients in their work and ensure their own self-care.
Upholding ethical standards promotes trust and provides a framework for safeguarding emotional and psychological health in service of our members and their clients. As coaches and supervisors, it is our role to create a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment that supports the mental health and well-being of our clients, thus ensuring positive psychological growth and professional development is achieved systemically for the individual and the organisation or context in which the client operates.
These guides have been written to support Association for Coaching members who may encounter mental health and wellbeing (MHWB) issues in their work. It offers guidance on specific areas of Mental Health that may be encountered, FAQ’s, Professional Development and Learning, Events and Resources.
This guide supports coach supervisors in addressing mental health and wellbeing issues, offering guidance on contracting, targeted interventions, and ethical dilemmas without diagnosing.
