If so, we are currently looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking and self-motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality, person-centred support to people accessing care under the Perinatal Mental Health Service.</p><p>We are looking to recruit an individual that has lived experience of mental health difficulties within the perinatal period as a Perinatal Peer Support Worker in our Mid and North East Hampshire patch.</p><p>The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Perinatal Community Mental Health Team provides mental health support and services for birthing people and their families during pregnancy and up to 24 months after birth. The team prioritises people with moderate to severe and complex mental health needs. The service also provides consultation for advice, information and signposting for people with a less severe mental illness in the perinatal period to primary care providers including GP's Health visitors and maternity services as well as the birthing people themselves.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Peer Support Workers are people with previous experience of using mental health services who are employed, trained and supported to use these experiences to support others. At the heart of the role is the building of safe, trusting relationships based on the sharing of lived experience. The focus of the peer worker role is on enabling individuals to discover and make use of their strengths, and to build and strengthen connections to their peers and wider communities.</p><p>The successful applicant will be working alongside our other existing Peer Support Workers. The team's current base is Southern House in Otterbourne near Winchester.</p><p>The role is part of an innovative service providing specialist assessment, support and treatment for women/birthing people and their families. The service is an early implementer site in developing a Maternity Mental Health Service and has close links with NHS Talking Therapy services with the aim of ensuring a clear pathway for women/birthing people in terms of their health and wellbeing during the antenatal and postnatal period.</p><p>We offer candidates an excellent local induction to the team including peer to peer induction shadowing and opportunity to learn and expand knowledge around the specialism of Perinatal Mental Health care.   <p>We are seeking to recruit 'Registered' qualified Counsellors to join our Urban team based in Dorset. The urban team covers Poole, Bournemouth &amp; Christchurch.</p> <p>We have permanent positions available in Poole (full time 5 days per week 37.5 hrs) and Bournemouth West( 3 days per week 22.5 hours). <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary primary care team.
The successful candidate will provide short-term counselling interventions to patients aged 16 and over who are experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.The post holder will work under the supervision of the Counselling Service Lead and the Primary Care Network Manager. They should be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and take responsibility for their own tasks and record-keeping, ensuring these are completed to a high standard.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>For a counsellor working in a primary care setting, the role involves delivering structured, evidence-based psychological support to individuals experiencing a range of emotional and mental health difficulties.
Key responsibilities include direct client work, collaborative practice, service development, supervision, and upholding ethical standards.</p><p>The post holder is expected to manage tasks delegated by members of the management teamsuch as the Business Manager, Practice Manager, or GPs. They may also provide supervision and training to other team members when appropriate. The role involves working collaboratively with the wider general practice team to meet the needs of the service, while supporting the implementation of policies and procedures.</p>



  <h3>About us</h3>
  <p>Our Primary Care Network (PCN) is made up of three General Practices in Grimsby: Woodfield Medical Centre, Littlefield Surgery, and Pelham Medical Group. Together, we care for over 37,000 registered patients.</p><p>The PCN was established to provide more localised support, expand access to services, and enhance the overall patient experience by meeting a broader range of needs and supporting practice capacity. We have a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who work under the mentorship and supervision of our General Practitioners, delivering care both within the practices and out in the community. This team includes Health and Wellbeing Coaches, a Dietitian, a Social Prescriber, and a Paramedic. These roles work collaboratively with one another and closely with our in-house counselling team to provide holistic, person-centred care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.</p>
