  <p>This is an exciting arts therapies opportunity with Newham Arts Therapies, working with adult service users with complex mental health needs, in hospital and the community. The clinical provision is to cover for maternity leave, and may include individual and group work. You will be well supported with supervision from very experienced arts therapies clinicians. You will be part of a well-established arts therapies, and specialist psychotherapy service. We are looking for interested applicants who can work autonomously and be part of a very committed team. Team meetings take place on Wednesdays, 9.30-11am online. This full-time fixed-term role may be split across more than one modality, days to be negotiated accordingly.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will work as part of Newham Arts Therapies, offering clinical provision, including assessment, individual and group work, to in-patient and community service users with complex mental health needs. This work takes place in different locations, including Newham Centre for Mental Health, 409 High Street and other community locations, and will include picking up ongoing referrals, and setting up of some new work in the community. You will be qualified and registered as an Arts Therapist (art psychotherapy, dramatherapy, music therapy and dance movement psychotherapy), with work experience relevant to the role. We are looking for committed and enthusiastic applicants who want to work as part of a team and contribute meaningfully to service user experience and recovery.</p>

  <p>An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a highly clinically skilled, experienced, motivated and compassionate Psychologist/ Psychotherapist to work in a split role between ADAPT-East in Bromley and the specialist Woman's Service which is also based in the same building in Orpington. </p> <p>ADAPT-E is one of the Bromley community mental health teams.</p> <p>WS is a specialist evening psychotherapy service for women, survivors of non recent child sexual abuse. The service operates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and as it is primarily an evening service, the post holder will be expected to work evenings for the Woman's Service on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.</p> <p>The post holder will join an established and integrated psychological therapies team within ADAPT-E. In the WS the post holder will join a well established team of psychoanalytic, psychodynamic and art psychotherapists offering specialist psychotherapy for women survivors of child sexual abuse.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post presents an exciting opportunity to develop highly specialist, supervisory and leadership skills within secondary care adult mental health.</p> <p>ADAPTE has been developing new ways of working with people presenting with interpersonal issues and complex trauma including a structured clinical management, compassion based and trauma stabilisation group programs. These run alongside established provisions including dual modality MBT, EMDR, CAT, 3rd wave CBT, psychodynamic, systemic and integrative approaches. Personal modality preferences will be encouraged and respected, specialisms in one or more of the above would be highly desirable.</p> <p>The post holder will be involved with assessment, formulation and interventions to the ADAPT population. Supervision of doctoral trainees or junior members of the therapy team will also be expected as appropriate.     <p>Develop highly effective working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>Provides direct clinical services to clients, undertaking highly specialist psychological art psychotherapy assessments and providing highly specialist individual and group based art psychotherapy intervention as appropriate and as required,</p> <p>Facilitates the dissemination of effective evidence informed psychological practice within the team and service by supporting psychologically informed protocols, guidelines and procedures implemented by other members of the MDT.</p> <p>In completing agreed duties, plans, organises and prioritises own time, activities and workload (manages own clinical caseload, plans group sessions, plans and organises teaching and research activities, organises administrative responsibilities, etc)</p> <p>Undertakes governance, audit and clinical administrative activities, collecting, collating and analysing data, writing and presenting reports and undertaking project development and implementation as appropriate. </p> <p><strong><em>We highly recommend you submit your application as soon as possible, this post may close earlier than the indicated closing date if a sufficient number of applications are received.</em></strong></p>
